Internet lauds Donald Trump after he slams DOJ as 'dirty, no good bastards' during House GOP meeting
WASHINGTON, DC: Former President Donald Trump delivered a comprehensive speech to House Republicans on Thursday, June 13, in which he praised his friends and attacked his political rivals. Two sources in the room claimed that Donald Trump specifically denounced the prosecutions against him, calling the Department of Justice (DOJ) "dirty, no good bastards."
A Republican lawmaker told Fox News that Trump bragged about the financial and public relations boost he received from his numerous state and federal criminal charges.
What did the GOP lawmaker say?
"He said, 'They had a saying that we're going to indict this guy into the White House,’" the GOP lawmaker said, as per the outlet. The GOP lawmaker further said that Trump also called President Joe Biden the "worst president in history." Sources told the outlet that Trump referred to Biden as a "dope."
Multiple House Republicans said the meeting went well
Numerous Republicans in the House reported that the meeting went well and that Trump discussed a wide range of subjects, including trade, the military, and abortion rights. Eric Burlison, R-Mo, told the outlet that Trump blamed Biden for the presence of Russian warships in Cuba.
"What was really on his mind today is the fact that Russia has submarines right off the coast of the United States, and he's just, he's really upset… and he should be. I'm concerned. We all should be concerned that we've got a president that is, that's so weak that he’s allowed for [this]," Burlison said.
Mike Garcia said Donald Trump slammed Joe Biden for the White House’s threat
Representative Mike Garcia, a Republican from California, claimed that Trump had taken aim at Biden for the White House's threat to veto this year's defense policy bill, which includes an increase in military pay.
"That’s a winning issue from a presidential race perspective," Garcia said, adding "The fact that Biden has now tripled down on this veto threat… President Trump should just be banging Biden over the head every day on the fact that you are not willing to give our troops a pay raise."
Donald Trump also pushed Republicans to develop a strong anti-abortion message
According to two more sources who spoke with Fox News, Trump also pushed Republicans to develop a strong anti-abortion message, cautioning that it had "cost" the party in past elections. He said the issue was "too important to ignore" and accused Democrats of having "radical" positions on late-term abortion, the sources said.
Internet says 'Trump just telling the truth'
Netizens heaped praises on the former president after he lashed out at his political rivals. One user tweeted, "Trump just telling the truth." Another wrote, "He's correct on both counts." "I love knowing that Trump is not afraid to say the truth," wrote a third. "President Trump is TOO NICE lol," commented one while another agreed, "Can’t say he is lying."
"Trump calls them like he sees them and he is correct more often than not," wrote one user.
