NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene faced the wrath of the internet as she showed support for truckers who are reportedly protesting the New York Supreme Court's verdict against former President Donald Trump.

On February 16, the court released the 92-page judgment, whereby Justice Arthur Engoron ordered Trump and The Trump Organization to pay penalties of more than $355 million. The former President was additionally barred from serving as an officer or director of any corporation or other legal entity in the state for three years. The same applies to his sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr, for two years.

Marjorie Taylor Greene calls $355M judgment against Trump 'grotesque'

Taking to the social media platform, Greene shared a tweet by a conservative portal The Gateway Pundit, stating that some truckers are planning to disrupt shipments to New York City.

"American truckers are now reportedly threatening to stop deliveries into New York City over the grotesque $364 million judgment against President Trump and his sons Don Jr and Eric by partisan hack Judge Engoron on Friday," read the portal's tweet.

Greene's caption to the post read, "The American people have far more power than they realize and they can stop the weaponized government when they boldly stand together and make it stop."

Internet reacts to Marjorie Taylor Greene's tweet

As the following tweets demonstrate, internet users are furious with the Georgia representative over her stance on the subject.

"The people that say they are making America great again are making it far worse. You, unfortunately, are a member of Congress, and you are supporting truckers that are refusing to deliver goods to New York City because Trump was fined for his fraudulence? That’s not your job. Your job, which you took an oath to uphold, is to the American people, not to a man that tried to overthrow the US Government, found liable for rape, impeached twice, and found liable for fraud. You are using your position in government to push an action to hurt good people, therefore, weaponization. #MakeAmericaSafeAgain," wrote a user.

"Average Joe truckers who have to pay their taxes hurting hard working Americans who have to pay their taxes too, in order to help a decades-long business fraud and tax cheat billionaire not have to pay his. And there are people in your cult who are dumb enough to support this," stated another.

"Why would you punish native New Yorkers. They are the American people, too," pointed out a third.

A fourth user expressed, "Good. Now out of work truck drivers who aren't MAGA can get some good jobs. How many MAGA are willing to endanger their families' welfare to show their loyalty for a con man? I'm betting not very many. We shall see."

"So you’re encouraging this? What do you think it’s gonna do apart from having shortages of supplies. We will suffer because of this bullshit! What do the truckers think is gonna happen. The judge will negate his ruling? @RepMTG is a fear monger and we r SICK of it!" exclaimed a fifth.
