LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fox News host Sean Hannity unleashed a scathing critique on what he labeled as a politically motivated trial against former President Donald Trump, asserting that the proceedings have veered "completely off the rails".

On his show, 'Hannity,' Hannity dissected Stormy Daniels' testimony, describing it as a deliberate attempt to "besmirch and slander" Trump, while also casting doubt on the forthcoming testimony of Michael Cohen, a convicted felon and Trump's former lawyer.

Hannity blasts trial as politically motivated circus

"This nothing-but-bogus, politically motivated trial against Donald Trump has gone totally, completely off the rails, and we still have not heard from the prosecution's star witness. You know, the convicted felon, notorious liar, Michael Cohen," Hannity declared, setting the tone for his vehement criticism.

Hannity asserted, "Now, this week, as a prelude to Cohen, all the Biden-loving prosecutors called a career porn actress to the stand, whose testimony apparently serves no other purpose than to smear, besmirch and slander Donald Trump."

Describing her testimony, Hannity remarked, "On Tuesday, she horrified jurors with her 'so-called' jokes. They were inappropriate: graphic stories, erotic physical gestures totally unrelated to the case."

He continued, "All of her testimony has been irrelevant and immaterial, despite being prepped by the prosecution. Wasn't that nice of them to prepare her?"

Hannity accuses prosecution of preparing Daniels to 'smear' Trump

The Fox News host further alleged that the prosecution had meticulously prepared Daniels to deliver damaging testimony against Trump, insinuating bias and manipulation on the part of the trial's overseers.

He questioned the integrity of the proceedings, painting a picture of a trial derailed by political agendas rather than a pursuit of justice.

As the trial progressed, Hannity noted a perceived escalation in its absurdity. He referenced a surreal atmosphere during cross-examination, implying that even observers from rival networks, such as CNN, were taken aback by the proceedings.

"Today during cross-examination, well, things got even more strange, and maybe a little bit spooky, even fake news CNN — they couldn't believe what they were hearing," he said.

Internet reacts to Hannity's remarks

Social media users expressed a wide range of opinions regarding Sean Hannity's coverage and alleged bias towards Donald Trump.

One user wrote, "If I had a dollar for everything Hannity said “unhinged” I’d be rich."

One said, "Sean really likes Donald trump and no lies about it obviously Donald trump himself like Sean as well on fox news well I kind of like Donald trump but not Sean."

One user replied, "Saw Sean Hannity’s name up in lights today as a primary Trump contact…hmmmmmmmm."

One said, "You went off the rails years ago."
