Insiders claim Martha Stewart finds it 'irritating and insulting' being compared to Meghan Markle

Martha Stewart, the creator of the Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, gained prominence in the 1970s after dominating the lifestyle goods market and has since become associated with all things domestic.

Meghan is now aptly being compared to Martha since the Duchess of Sussex is about to enter the lifestyle industry with her brand American Riviera Orchard. However, it seems like the TV celebrity is not all that interested in the topic.

Meghan, 42, recently revealed her new lifestyle business, and as per tipsters, she intends to sell table linens, cookware, dog food, and serving ware in conjunction with a cookery show.

"Martha has seen hundreds of Meghan types come and go — and says they all come in with the same self-inflated hype, only to find out it's a whole new ball game when it comes down to brass tacks," a source told the National Enquirer.

The anonymous insider continued, "She's tired of being quizzed by people over how she feels about Meghan's venture because, honestly, it's irritating and insulting to her that she's being compared to a rookie!"

Martha Stewart reportedly 'plays nice for cameras but vicious behind scenes'

According to the tipster: "Martha spent decades building her brand from a foundation of raw talent, hands-on hard work and an original vision."

"If Meghan thinks she can come along and replicate that with barely any experience simply because she’s married to a prince, she better think again."

The source further added: "Martha doesn't put a whole lot of faith in her succeeding. But if she does prove to be any competition, Martha won't hold back in trying to take her down. She's still just as competitive as she's ever been!"

The insider described Stewart as "She plays nice for the cameras — but behind the scenes she's vicious."

According to Harry and Meghan's recently launched website, the Duchess will reportedly begin a new series on the streaming service later in 2024 that will "celebrate the joys of cooking and gardening, entertaining, and friendship."

This will take place in tandem with Meghan's launch of American Riviera Orchard, her new lifestyle brand, which will provide jams, silverware, cutlery, and other goods.

Gwyneth Paltrow accused of copying Martha Stewart

Martha's talons have been seen extending toward rivals on previous occasions. Back in 2014, the current domestic queen unleashed a barrage of barbs directed at Goop founder Gwyneth Paltrow.

"She just needs to be quiet," the 82-year-old sneered, accusing the 51-year-old Oscar winner of attempting to copy her. "She's a movie star. If she were confident in her acting, she wouldn't be trying to be Martha Stewart!"

Internet users warn Meghan not to 'mess with ex-con' Martha

Social media users wasted no time in taking the reported cold war between the two celebrities online, with one X (formerly Twitter) user posting: "Don’t mess with an ex-con Megsy. Martha will chew you up and spit you out before you can say boo… Plus she knows how to make a shiv!"

Others flocked to the comment section to chime in, with one stating, "It would be a very tasteful shiv made with organic ingredient. Don’t mess with Martha"

A second one added, "Meghan could try for a thousand years and still not be able to hold a candle alto Martha Stewart"

"LOL you know it Sir Laird Martha is no one to mess around with," snarked a third one.

"Martha is a living legend and most definitely put meg Markle in her pathetic place if Martha has a chance," remarked one.

Another one added, "Oooh I was wondering when Martha would raise her head! Rookie Megs has a way to go though, about $400 Million ways to go."

"She'll always fail coz she just doesn't get it. Creativity comes from essence of who you are," asserted one.

"Martha knows the value of hard work and she started from the bottom and gained everything she had through her determination. Megsy can never compare," said another.

Another one exclaimed, "As she should. Martha Stewart built an empire from hardwork while Meghan has built her name by marrying the ugly spare and grifting the royal titles!"
