MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle has successfully launched her new website and coordinating Instagram channel which has drawn thousands of followers, including celebrities like Kris Jenner.

Meghan Markle’s instagram gets huge celebrity following

The Duchess of Sussex, who had a thriving career in Hollywood following her acting gig with ‘Suits’, also ran a lifestyle blog ‘The Tig’ before her marriage to Prince Harry. She subsequently closed the blog after her marriage and relocation to London.

Now, Meghan has made a comeback to social media with a bang, as she announced her latest venture. In no time, the account amassed the following from celebrities.

Some of the celebrities who wasted no time in following the account are Kris Jenner, Abigail Spencer, and Mindy Kaling.

Spencer is Meghan’s friend after they costarred on ‘Suits’. During an appearance at ‘The Kelly Clarkson Show’, the actress opened up about their friendship, and praised the Duchess calling her an 'incredible person'.

Jenner, on the other hand, has a rapport with Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland after meeting in August 2023 at This Is About Humanity’s 5th Anniversary Soiree in Los Angeles.

The ‘Never Have I Ever’ creator Kaling connected with Meghan after appearing on her podcast ‘Archetypes’ in September 2022 where they conversed about the societal gaze towards “spinsters” and “old maids”.

Former president of Archewell Foundation, Mandana Dayani; model Ella Macpherson; riend and photographer Misan Harriman and designer Misha Nonoo are some of the notable followers of the Instagram account.

Meghan further got shoutouts from her friends Heather Dorak and Kelly McKee Zajfen who shared congratulatory messages for the site on the day of its launch.

Meghan launched her Instagram site and website on March 14 with nine posts that form together the brand’s gilded logo on the cream background.

She also shared a short clip on Instagram Stories where Meghan could be seen arranging flowers in her Montecito home.

It has also been reported that the brand has filed trademark applications for an inventory of items including cookbooks, tableware, linens, a range of edibles, and table place card holders specified to be “not of precious metal”, per The Guardian.

Her international filing comprises goods including stationery, textiles, string bags, yoga gear, and a range of pet-related items such as leashes, collars, feeding mats, and bird seed.

Internet trolls Meghan Markle for the following

Meghan Markle's Instagram following, though impressive, did not impress many of the social media users as they trolled the Duchess and alleged there is a decrease in her "popularity."

One of the netizens said, "Why is she using her title (from that dreadful institution 🙄) to promote her business? I thought she wasn’t allowed to do that."

"You tried! That is not a good thing. Their initial account got 1, million in five hours," added someone else.

Another dissenter commented, "Still 375k? That’s failure for the alleged global icon."

"Ummm… that’s what you call a FAIL. Why did she drop her IG if her project isn’t even ready? Shouldn’t her “cooking show” have aired at the same time? Shouldn’t her cook book be for sale? What a strange way to run a business, exclaimed another.

Someone else vented out, "That’s such a big flop! Just 375k? 🤭🤭 Nothing compared to when the world didn’t know her and her husband’s true colors back when they created the SR account! They can’t fool the world anymore 😎😎😎."

Another fan compared, "Oh wow. 400k only in 24 hours? Sussex Royal gained 2.6m in 24 hours back in 2020, right? That's an 85% drop in (influence? popularity? demand? fame?). How the mighty have fallen."

"Is that something to proud of. What a come down from Royal Family to selling Kitchen Ware to the Kardashian’s," declared a disgruntled fan.

"That’s it? She and Harry got over a million day one when they got married. Maybe she needs to rethink her methods," advised a fan.

Someone else explained, "Abigail is her friend so that makes sense. Jenner is sharp- probably keeping an eye on any competition. She needn’t worry 😂."
