Ivanka Trump joins Donald Trump at RNC for first campaign event since his reelection bid announcement
MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN: Ivanka Trump accompanied her father, Donald Trump, and her siblings to the VIP family box at the Republican National Convention on Thursday night, July 18. This marked her first attendance at a campaign event since the announcement of his presidential run.
Ivanka was seated between her husband, Jared Kushner, and her half-sister, Tiffany Trump, in the second row of the family box. In the row ahead of her, her father sat alongside his vice-presidential candidate, JD Vance.
Ivanka Trump attends the RNC to witness Donald Trump's nomination acceptance
Earlier that evening, Ivanka Trump accompanied Donald Trump as he signed the documents to officially become the party's nominee. She wore a white Versace suit, Jimmy Choo shoes and carried a Manolo Blahnik clutch, according to Daily Mail.
Her siblings, Don Jr, Eric, and Tiffany, have attended the Republican National Convention throughout the week to support their father. They are also serving as delegates representing the state of Florida.
A few months earlier, Ivanka Trump announced that she would attend the convention in her "personal capacity" to witness her father receive the party's nomination. She will not be addressing the delegates.
She and her father share a close bond, and after the terrifying attempt on his life, she stays by his side. Ivanka reunited with Donald Trump last Saturday night in Bedminster, New Jersey, following the assassination attempt.
Ivanka Trump expresses her gratitude to her supporters
According to those close to the campaign, Ivanka Trump also spoke with Donald Trump on the phone while he was in the hospital, as reported by Daily Mail.
In response to the "senseless violence," Ivanka took to social media to thank her supporters and share that she was "praying for America."
She also thanked the Secret Service for their swift action in neutralizing the gunman. On X, the former first daughter wrote, "I love you Dad, today and always."
Ivanka added, "Thank you for your love and prayers for my father and for the other victims of today's senseless violence in Butler, Pennsylvania. I am grateful to the Secret Service and all the other law enforcement officers for their quick and decisive actions today."

She also said she believed her mom Ivana was watching over her father, "Two years ago today, my mom passed away. I believe she was watching over Dad last night during the attempt on his life. Ivanka Trump and her husband Jared Kushner distanced themselves from the political scene
Ivanka Trump served as a senior advisor in Donald Trump's administration from 2017 to 2021, yet she has not been actively involved in his second presidential campaign.
When Donald Trump announced his reelection bid last year, Ivanka expressed her love for her father in a social media statement but made it clear she intended to stay out of politics. She did not attend the announcement event or the first presidential debate.
She was also one of the few relatives who did not attend his trial in New York earlier this year, where the former president faced charges related to hush money payments to Stormy Daniels.
Ivanka and her husband, Jared Kushner, have sought to distance themselves from the turbulent political landscape during Donald Trump's reelection campaign and his subsequent legal challenges.
After Trump's term ended in January 2021, Ivanka and Jared Kushner moved to Florida with their children: Arabella, 12, Joseph, 9, and Theodore, 8. Since leaving the White House, Ivanka has focused on philanthropic efforts and reconnecting with her former acquaintances.
Internet trolls Ivanka Trump's look at RNC
As soon as the Daily Mail published the news, readers started trolling Ivanka's appearance. One wrote, "Her new face looks like it doesn't want to be there. She is giving off the stiff, uncomfortable vibe."
Another user added, "Maybe someone told her since her father was shot she should at least make an appearance. I guess they forgot to tell her to bring her old face."
A commentator wrote, "She needs a new hairdo; flat-ironed straight is so boring and very dated."
"What has she done to her face. Why can't American woman grow old gracefully instead of using filler and botox?I wonder how much the Saudis paid Jared for this?" A person questioned. [sic]
