Ivanka Trump stuns in $6K gown with daughter Arabella at Xi Jinping’s White House dinner

WASHINGTON, DC: Ivanka Trump made a glamorous appearance at the White House state dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping on Thursday, September 24, wearing a $6,000 strapless gown by Georges Hobeika.

The first daughter attended the black-tie event with her 15-year-old daughter, Arabella Kushner, as President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump hosted the Chinese leader and his wife, Peng Liyuan.

Ivanka’s light blue satin gown featured a structured corset-style bodice, lace-inspired embroidery, floral details, and crystal accents. She completed the look with dark eye makeup and her blonde hair swept to one side. The mother-daughter duo also posed for photographs with Tiffany Trump and Lara Trump, who joined the family for the evening.

Ivanka, 44, chose a crystal-embroidered satin maxi gown by Georges Hobeika for the state dinner in the White House’s East Room, where both presidents delivered remarks.

The strapless design featured a structured bodice, intricate floral motifs, and embroidered scrollwork. Crystal-fringed accents added detail to the light blue dress, which stood out against the formal setting.

Her look was one of the evening’s notable fashion moments, with Ivanka opting for a fitted silhouette rather than a more traditional evening gown. She kept her accessories understated, allowing the embellished dress to take center stage.

Ivanka was joined by Arabella, whom she shares with her husband, Jared Kushner. The teenager wore a black backless maxi dress and posed alongside her mother and aunts in a series of family photographs.

Arabella, who speaks fluent Mandarin, had also accompanied Ivanka to the White House earlier on Thursday for Xi’s arrival ceremony.

For that appearance, Ivanka wore a robin’s egg blue dress with a matching jacket featuring intricate white floral detailing by Chinese designer Guo Pei.

She paired the outfit with white, two-tiered pearl earrings and white pumps. Her blonde hair was styled in an updo, with two loose strands framing her face.

Arabella joined her in the first row, where Ivanka was seated next to Usha Vance, the wife of Vice President JD Vance.

The black-tie dinner brought together political figures and guests for an evening hosted by Donald and Melania Trump.

The event also offered an opportunity for the US and Chinese leaders to meet amid longstanding tensions between the two countries.

Melania’s office said the first lady personally oversaw the evening’s arrangements.

The East Room was decorated with red linens, Reagan-era vermeil and large arrangements of crimson dahlias.

The decor drew on the cultural significance of red in China. Melania’s office said the design “draws on the color red’s longstanding cultural significance throughout Chinese history.”

The evening also featured performances by military musicians and Christopher Macchio, the tenor who performed at the presidential inauguration.

Guests raised glasses of Schramsberg “Blanc De Noirs” for a symbolic toast that revived the historic 1972 “Toast to Peace” between former US President Richard Nixon and Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai.

The White House menu combined classic American ingredients with subtle Asian flavors across a multi-course meal.
