LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Sports commentator Jason Whitlock disparaged Simone Biles in an offensive rant and labeled her a "borderline midget" as he laughed off the greatest of all time claims.

Biles became the most decorated American gymnast in history as she won three gold medals and a silver in Paris, taking her Olympics medals tally to 11. She is just behind Soviet legend Larisa Latynina’s nine golds, the most by any gymnast, according to NBC News.

Jason Whitlock grills Simone Biles in offensive rant

During an episode of his podcast 'Fearless', Whitlock spoke to boxing reporter Steve Kim and said that the majority of Olympics fans "don't even understand gymnastics" and that Biles should not be considered an all-time great.

He said, "Simone Biles' feet don't touch the floor. That's a borderline midget. And we're doing all this, 'Oh my god she's the greatest of all time, she's the greatest athlete of all time.'"

He added, "Most of us don't even understand gymnastics, we don't know how it's scored, we don't know what's good or bad. But we all pretend every four years like, 'Oh my god, what an incredible athlete! She's the greatest, she's the Jesse Owens [of gymnastics], she's the Serena Williams, she's the Michael Jordan.'"

Kim replied by arguing that gymnasts should be considered when all-time great athletes are discussed. He said, "When you take a look at every list that says greatest athletes in the world, to me gymnasts and decathletes are right up there."

He added, "They don't play major sports that we care about, but the things that they can do with their bodies, catapulting themselves in the air and flipping, and their high-twitch. I get it, she's not as big as Kevin Garnett. But generally to do that stuff, less is more."

Whitlock mockingly replied, "She's not as big as Kevin Garnett's thigh."

Internet slams Jason Whitlock for calling Simone Biles 'borderline midget'

Many internet users were not impressed by the comments made by Whitlock and lashed out at him for calling the Olympic medalist a "borderline midget."

Some online comments read, "He's the male Candace Owens. He gets press and money by being controversial, and contrary to popular views" while one added, "Ummm does Whitlock own a mirror? Really need to be Perfect before judging others."

A person also stated, "So are NBA players just "giants" shooting a ball at a hoop 3' above their head" whereas one mentioned, "Someone is desperate for attention, and needlessly at a great athlete's expense!"

A user commented, "Jason Whitlock shouldn't be commenting on athletes. Look at the state of him!" while one wrote, "You cannot change your height! Why does he care? It is not affecting him!"

A person also added, "Bigger than him in every way that matters. Get a life, dude" whereas one wrote, "Her gold medals speak for themselves."
