Jax Taylor asks judge to declare him 'legally single' amid divorce from Brittany Cartwright
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jax Taylor has filed a new request amid his ongoing divorce from Brittany Cartwright.
The TV personality reportedly wants to be declared legally single as he continues to resolve other legal aspects of the divorce, including financial, property and support issues.

According to Us Weekly, which cited court documents, Taylor’s attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, asked a judge to declare him legally single on Tuesday, October 13.
“Taylor respectfully requests that this court grant his request for a bifurcated judgment on marital status only,” the legal papers stated.
The lawyer also mentioned in the documents that “it is clear that this marriage is beyond repair and that no one will benefit by keeping the parties bound to one another as husband and wife. Moreover, [Taylor] would like the freedom to move forward with his life as a single person, and we assume [Cartwright] would like the same opportunity.”
Jax Taylor requests immediate marital status dissolution
The request further noted that the 'Vanderpump Rules' star is “well within his rights to seek an immediate dissolution of marital status.”
The documents also stated that almost two years “have passed since the case commenced with minimal case progression, and no set trial date, leaving [Taylor] with no clear path toward resolution and a justified desire to seek an alternate route to divorce.”
“Accordingly, [Taylor] respectfully requests that this court grant his request for order in its entirety and declare him legally divorced from [Cartwright],” the filings added.
Jax Taylor finds happiness with Lori Krebs
The 47-year-old model married Cartwright, 37, in June 2019 before filing for divorce in 2024. They share a five-year-old son named Cruz. After splitting from Cartwright, Taylor began dating his former publicist, Lori Krebs.
A few months ago, he reportedly said, “I love [Krebs] to death. You can’t help who you fall in love with. Everybody deserves to find happiness. I’m in the happiest place I’ve ever been, and I couldn’t be happier right now. My mental health has been so amazing since I’ve been with her.”
“I’m with somebody who I love very much, and she’s good for me,” Taylor said in early August, before addressing his estranged wife’s comments about his relationship with Krebs.
'The Valley' actor said Cartwright had “every right” to be upset but also claimed that “a lot of the stuff she’s saying is untrue.”
Brittany Cartwright criticizes Jax Taylor and Lori Krebs
Cartwright had previously called Taylor a “narcissist” and branded Krebs a “snake.”
Referring to Krebs, she reportedly added, “She knows everything. She knows he manipulates and love bombs, and she still chose that over me and all of her friendships, her job, her family. She chose it over everything, knowing his personality. It was so heartbreaking for me.”
