LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jelly Roll has opened up about his latest health challenge while continuing his weight loss journey amid his divorce from Bunnie XO.

The country singer revealed that he has been struggling with overeating and stress eating, comparing the experience to the addictive behaviors he has worked to overcome in the past.

Jelly Roll opens up about stress eating

Roll opened up about his recent struggles with overeating, admitting that stress caused him to fall into old patterns while focusing on his health goals.

"I've been overeating the last three or four days, and I was feeling myself stress-eating," Roll shared in a July 10 YouTube video. “And then, what else happened was the addict in me came out.”

The singer explained that controlling his eating habits can sometimes feel similar to the addiction battle he has previously faced. "We had this show at this one spot that I love their catering,” he explained.

"They have a dairy-free skillet cookie. I don't eat nothing like that. I'm like an addict. You can't eat that, because if I eat one, I eat two. I eat four.” Roll further described how one craving quickly turned into several unexpected choices.

“Later that night, I'm at the taco truck getting the peanut butter fluff. Next thing I know, we're at the rest stop, I'm looking for a chocolate bar. I'm like, 'Damn, that fast, now I’ve consumed 2,000 extra calories today that I didn’t even see coming.'”

The singer's comments highlighted the challenges behind his fitness progress and the discipline required to continue his health transformation. "People don't get it. I tell people, 'You don't become the size you became without having a mental health issue," Roll added. "It’s something way deeper. It's a different thing."

"But once you get to that point of really realizing what you're hungry for, everything changes. And knowing what your triggers are," he concluded.

According to court documents, the couple officially separated on May 9, just weeks before they were set to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary.

The divorce filing cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, with documents stating that the couple was “unable to live together successfully as husband and wife.”

Since their separation, both have shared personal updates about their lives. Bunnie XO has spoken openly about her emotions and experiences on her 'Dumb Blonde' podcast, while Roll has also offered glimpses into his journey and the challenges he has faced during this new chapter.
