Jennifer Lopez shuts down claims her chemistry with Brett Goldstein was 'showmance' to promote film
LONDON, UK: Jennifer Lopez and her co-star Brett Goldstein were shocked when a reporter during ‘Office Romance’ London premiere accused them of doing “showmance” to promote the new movie.
The A-lister slammed the reporter by saying, “People don’t do things like that.”

Jennifer Lopez and Brett Goldstein are shocked over 'showmance' allegation
Lopez and Goldstein were questioned regarding their off-air chemistry during the London premiere of ‘Office Romance’ on Wednesday, June 3. As the two actors were taking questions from reporters, one of them asked, “Were you tempted at all in promoting this film to have a bit of a showmance?”
‘The Wedding Planner’ star and her 45-year-old actor looked stunned over the question as the latter one asked, “What’s a showmance?”
To which the reporter explained, “Well, like kind of faking the fact that you were like having a thing in real life.”

At this point, Lopez appeared to lose her patience as she replied, “Do you know that we, people, don’t do things like that? Like, just so you know, like spoiler alert, that doesn’t happen.”
“People don’t make believe that we’re having a romance. Just like in a movie. No. You’re either having a romance, or you're not, and I don’t think it’s…I think it’s kind of hard to hide, to be honest,” the 56-year-old A-lister added.

This came after both the actors went on the ‘TODAY’ show on June 2 to promote the Netflix movie, which will start streaming on June 5.
When the host, Savannah Guthrie, asked Lopez about the dating rumors, she immediately gave a clear answer.
“There’s never a time when I’m seen with somebody or working with somebody where they don’t try to put me with the person,” she stated. But then Goldstein said, “I think if you stand near her, that’s what happens.”
“That’s what you wish would happen,” Guthrie quipped, before Goldstein added, “Yeah, that’s why I’ve been standing so close.”
But Guthrie did not stop there as she further asked the ‘Anaconda’ actress, “That was not an answer? It was an answer! You didn’t say yes or no.”
“Because (I’m not dating) all these people that they put me (together with in rumors). I think I was with Kevin Costner this year. I was with, there was a lot of people. It happens all the time. Doesn’t make it true,” Lopez asserted.
