Jessica Biel reveals her and Justin Timberlake’s son Silas, 11, will cameo in her new film

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jessica Biel has disclosed that her elder son, Silas, whom she shares with husband Justin Timberlake, will be seen with her in the new film, 'Matchbox: The Movie'.

Silas is 11 years old and was born in April 2015, three years after Biel and Timberlake married. The couple later welcomed their second son, Phineas, in September 2020.

Speaking with E! News at the 'Matchbox: The Movie' premiere in New York City on October 5, Biel said, “He plays a small part in the movie at the very end, which is really cute.”

Biel's revelation came as she attended the premiere of the Apple TV film, which is set to premiere on October 9. Silas will make his brief appearance toward the end of the movie.

She also shared that Silas is interested in both music and acting, like his father and mother, respectively.

“My 11-year-old is a little bit of both. He’s a DJ, so he's kind of interested in both lanes. We're just kind of letting him take his time and see what happens and what he really gets interested in,” the 44-year-old added.

Elsewhere during the interview, 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' actress revealed what it was like for her children to be on set with her.

She said, “They’re so funny. Like, I feel like their brains implode whenever they come to a set, especially a set like this, where there's a hero of theirs that they're meeting. There's cool action sequences, there's fight sequences.”

Focusing on her younger child, Biel explained, “I think he was like, ‘Is this real? Is this not real?’ John [Cena] just got punched and he fell on the ground and so I don't even know what's happening to their brains or what they're thinking. It's just a lot of confusion.”

“My 11-year-old is like, ‘I know what this is,’ but the 6-year-old is still like, ‘What's happening here? Cannot compute,’” she stated.

Biel and Timberlake recently celebrated 14 years of marriage. A few years ago, she shared what she considered the secret to their strong bond.

“Communication, communication, communication. The ability to be really honest about how you’re feeling and what your needs are. Just be able to communicate really honestly with your partner. That’s worked for us so far. I would never want to speak on anyone else’s relationship, but that’s what we do,” she told PEOPLE in 2018.
