Jill Biden blasted as she flies to Delaware from France to attend Hunter Biden’s trial and returns to Europe at taxpayers’ expense

WILMINGTON, DELAWARE: First Lady Jill Biden traveled from France to Delaware on Friday, June 7, using public funds to be by stepson Hunter Biden's side during his trial.

On Thursday, June 6, the 73-year-old celebrated the 80th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy with President Joe Biden before returning to the United States for Hunter's gun trial.

She flew back to France on Saturday, June 8, to accompany President Biden and French President Emmanuel Macron on their state visit.

Hunter Biden stands accused in his federal trial of falsifying information regarding his drug addiction on a firearm application form and of illegal gun possession.

The First Lady was present at the trial each day of the week, with the exception of Thursday. In an interview from 2022, the First Lady referred to herself as Hunter's "mom" when discussing his legal issues.

"I mean, I have to support him and love him, and, you know, I’m constantly talking to him, sending him texts; ‘How you doing?’ Because it’s tough," she said, as per The New York Times.

The modified Boeing 747s, known as Air Force One, cost approximately $177,843 per hour to operate. Air Force Two, often utilized by the First Ladies, incurs costs of tens of thousands of dollars per hour.

On Friday, prosecutors concluded their case alleging Hunter Biden lied on a federal form to purchase a gun in October 2018 by claiming he was not a drug user.

The defense may summon at least one additional witness when the trial recommences on Monday, June 10, followed by closing arguments.

Hunter Biden has entered a plea of not guilty, and the President is not anticipated to be present at his son's trial.

As soon as the news of Jill Biden flying from France to Delaware for one day went viral on social media, social media users posted their views on various platfroms.

A user slammed saying, "The Biden family are traitors."



 

Another user added, "She flies back and forth to france like a day to day subway ride what about the carbon footprint she does not care because she is privilaged and a biden crime family member that does not have to answer to any one."



 

The third commenator wrote, "And the taxpayers cannot buy groceries, meds, pay rent or mortgage. Ludicrous."



 

"Tired of paying for elites travel with absolutely no thank you," a person said.
