WASHINGTON, DC: President Joe Biden reprimanded former president Donald Trump over a video he posted on Truth Social during a hush money trial lunch break.

The clip mentioned hypothetical news headlines announcing his hypothetical win in the 2024 election, one of which mentioned a "unified Reich," which bore similarity to Adolf Hitler’s "Third Reich," the official Nazi designation for the regime in Germany that existed between January 1933 to May 1945.

In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Tuesday, May 21, showed the incumbent watching and responding to Trump's contentious post. He said, "This on his official account? Wow. A unified Reich? That’s Hilter’s language, that’s not America’s."

"He cares about holding onto power. I care about you," asserted Biden.

He also condemed Trump's move of sharing the video during a Boston fundraiser, saying, "Yesterday, his campaign posted online about if he wins it’ll be a unified Reich — like the third Reich. This is the same guy that uses Hitler’s language, not America’s," as per The Hill

"It’s no surprise that when he, about four months ago, he talked about — I think maybe a little longer — that Hitler did some quote some good things," added the president, referring to the alleged statements made by Trump as claimed by John Kelly.

During a March interview with CNN, Kelly, who served as White House chief of staff during Trump’s presdiency, reportedly said that the ex-POTUS told him, "Well, but Hitler did some good things."

He further recounted, "I said, 'Well, what?’ And he said, 'Well, [Hitler] rebuilt the economy.' But what did he do with that rebuilt economy? He turned it against his own people and against the world. And I said, 'Sir, you can never say anything good about the guy. Nothing.'"

Earlier Tuesday, at a Philadelphia event, Vice President Kamala Harris slammed Trump, saying, "Just yesterday, the former president of the United States, who praises dictators, who said there were 'very fine people on both sides' in Charlottesville -- let's not forget -- took to social media and highlighted language from Nazi Germany," as per ABC News

She asserted, "This kind of rhetoric is unsurprising coming from the former president and it is appalling. And we’ve got to tell him who we are. And once again, it shows our freedoms and our very democracy are at stake."

The controversial video was online for about 18 hours before it was removed on Tuesday morning.

"Thank you for setting the record straight Mr. President 💙," wrote one and another said, "EXACTLY! Donald Trump is a DISGRACE to the country."

A person stressed, "A Nazi sympathizer can't get anywhere near the White House." "Took him 19 hours to delete that post. You know he didn’t want to 🤣," expressed someone else.

An individual added, "We cannot have another term with Donald j toddler!"
