SUMTER COUNTY, GEORGIA: Jimmy Carter managed to vote for Kamala Harris despite his health challenges.

On Wednesday, the former president managed to cast a vote by placing his ballot in a dropbox at the Sumter County Courthouse in Georgia.

"I’m only trying to make it to vote for Kamala Harris," Jimmy said, as per his grandson Jason Carter.

“I think he feels good. It was a good morning for him and good for us that he got it done," Jimmy's son Chip Carter also confirmed, according to The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

On being asked if Jimmy Carter voted for Kamala Harris, Chip Carter responded with, "Absolutely. He’s never voted for a Republican in his life.”

Jason addressed the DNC in August and explained why he and his grandfather are backing Harris for president: "Kamala Harris carries my grandfather’s legacy. She knows what is right, and she fights for it. She understands that leadership is about service, not about selfishness."

"That you can show strength and demonstrate decency. And that you can get a whole lot more done with a smile than with a scowl," he added.

Jimmy has been in hospice care since February 2023, according to People.
