LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Late-night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel says he is open to inviting President Donald Trump as a guest on 'Jimmy Kimmel Live'.

Kimmel made the comment on Thursday, October 8, while attending the Bloomberg Screentime media conference.

“I’d love to have Trump on the show, for sure,” he said with a smile. Trump and Kimmel had a bitter clash a couple of weeks ago when Kimmel’s late-night show was temporarily suspended.

Jimmy Kimmel says he would 'love' to have Donald Trump on his show

Late-night show host Jimmy Kimmel says he would love to welcome President Donald Trump as a guest on his ABC show, even though the two have shared some bitter moments in recent weeks.

During the Bloomberg Screentime media conference, Kimmel spoke openly about the idea of bringing Trump on the show. “I’d love to have Trump on the show, for sure,” he said with a smile. “All right, I’ll ask him.”

The comment came unexpectedly, especially considering that Kimmel’s late-night show had been temporarily canceled after he delivered a monologue about Charlie Kirk’s murder.

Despite their long and rocky history, Kimmel insists he holds no grudge against the president.

During Trump’s first presidential campaign, he appeared on Kimmel’s show. Looking back, Kimmel said, “Of all the administrations we’ve had since my show started, Trump’s was by far the most visible."

“He’s on TV all day, every day, so he gives us a lot to use and deal with. That’s unusual, it’s not how it used to be," he continued.

Reflecting on how often Trump dominated headlines, Kimmel admitted that the constant exposure made things both easier and more challenging at the same time. “You hear him, you see him, he’s just presented himself so frequently that it makes it more digestible and less digestible at the same time,” he explained.

Jimmy Kimmel’s show suspension draws reaction from Donald Trump

The feud between Trump and Kimmel reached an extreme point recently when 'Jimmy Kimmel Live' was pulled off the air for almost a week. The brief suspension occurred after Kimmel made comments related to Charlie Kirk’s murder, a remark that quickly sparked controversy on social media.

When news of the suspension broke, Trump wasted no time speaking about it. Taking to Truth Social, he shared a post that read, “Great News for America: The ratings challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is CANCELLED. Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done. Kimmel has ZERO talent, and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that’s possible.”

Trump talked about why Kimmel’s show was taken off the air, saying it was because of ratings and his controversial comments.

Not content with just one jab, Trump went on to target other late night hosts as well, writing, “That leaves Jimmy (Fallon) and Seth (Meyers), two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC!!! President DJT.”
