WASHINGTON, DC: At a luxurious event held on Saturday, June 29, at a house in New Jersey, President Joe Biden allegedly told the audience that his embarrassing and mistake-filled debate with Donald Trump had won over undecided voters, as per New York Post.

The questionable statement was made by Biden during a private gathering at New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy's house, which his wife said had raised $3.7 million, according to NJ.com.

Although Biden acknowledged before the tiny audience that his performance in the debate was unimpressive and that this led several big publications to urge him to withdraw from the race for reelection, he said that the voters saw the event in a different light.

As per the news site, Biden told the several dozen people at the party, "Research during the debate shows us converting more undecided voters than Trump did, in large part because of his conduct on Jan. 6. People remember the bad things during his presidency."

Notably, not only had Biden assured the New Jersey crowd that he had won over independent voters, but he also said that following the debate, his numbers in Democratic polls had increased.

The idea contradicts several polls that have been made public in the past two days, including one that The Post commissioned that showed Biden's favor declining after he faced Trump.

As per the reporter, Biden informed the crowd, "I didn’t have a great night, but I’m going to be fighting harder."
