The Democratic campaign labeled Trump a "dictator" and claimed that the likely Republican nominee intends to "strip away" American liberties.

Joe Biden's campaign releases new ad preceding Independence Day weekend

President Biden's campaign released a new advertisement on Wednesday, July 3, preceding the Independence Day weekend.

It contends that the Supreme Court's ruling on Monday, July 1, which grants presidents "absolute immunity" from prosecution for official acts, implies that Donald Trump would wield absolute power if reelected, New York Post reported.

“Nearly 250 years ago, America was founded in defiance of a king, under the belief that no one was above the law, not even the President, until now,” the ad begins.

“The same Trump Supreme Court that overturned Roe v Wade ruled that the President can ignore the law, even to commit a crime — because Donald Trump asked them to,” the ad continues. “He’s already led an insurrection, and threatened to be a dictator on Day One. Donald Trump can never hold this office again.”

The advertisement is scheduled to be broadcast in battleground states, aiming specifically at younger voters.
