WASHINGTON, DC: Rep Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) advertised Endex Fitness brand gun conceal carry holsters on X on Friday, June 28 night, in a long infomercial, according to Raw Story.

This comes after a string of contentious endorsements of products by Republican legislators. One such example is Governor Kristi Noem (R-SD), who advertised a Texas dentist who genuinely restored her teeth, putting her in legal hot water for deceptive advertising.

Accompanying the post with a video demonstrating the holster, Crenshaw wrote on X, "No better way to celebrate Independence Day than stylishly exercising your 2nd Amendment rights. So many brands try to sell you 'sleek' holsters and belt systems for 'concealed' carry. But there’s nothing sleek about an extra inch of plastic or leather or metal clips, plus the belt."

He added, "Our design keeps it simple with an improved belly band elastic holster that integrates into the pants perfectly. Or you can use the holster by itself. It’s removable."

He also mentioned, "No, I don’t make a dime off of this ... The profits for this clothing line go almost entirely to funding US House races around the country and growing the Republican majority," and urged supporters to "get it soon. This is our first drop and we didn’t produce all that much. Enjoy!"

However, many people on the internet were not impressed by Crenshaw's post on X and ended up taking jibes at him. Some online comments read, "When all that matters is the money" and "Everything's a grift for the modern Republican."

A user wrote on X, "Get elected as a Republican. Go to Congress. Become a grifter. Rince and repeat", while one added, "Explain to us, how are you NOT a RINO? I’m open to listening if youll take the time to explain."

A person also stated, "You sold out, everyone knows", whereas one mentioned, "Salesmen and politicians aren’t different."

Some other online comments read, "They call me 'Cringe Crenshaw'" and "'You probably don't realize I'm concealed carrying...' ----------- Uh, yeah, we do. It was pretty obvious where your pistol was sitting. That the best you can do?"
