Joe Biden's campaign launches 'Project 2025' QR codes and major media blitz ahead of CNN debate
ATLANTA, GEORGIA: Joe Biden's reelection campaign kicked off a significant media campaign just hours before the first presidential debate between Biden and Donald Trump on June 27.
This move is part of a strategic effort to sway public opinion and highlight the stark differences between the two candidates.
Joe Biden's campaign resorts to media blitz
On Thursday morning, June 27, the Biden campaign stormed the media by launching advertisements on the websites of CNN, BuzzFeed, El Tiempo Latino, TheGrio, Telemundo, and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.
Additionally, advertisements have also appeared on USA Today's website and on a full-print page of the newspaper, labeling Trump as “a self-centered criminal.”
As part of the campaign, billboards will be displayed in Atlanta, the location of the presidential debate, according to The Hill.
The debate which is set to take place at 9.00 pm will be moderated by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Dana Bash.
The campaign also plans to project a QR code throughout the city on billboards, sidewalks, and buildings.
Joe Biden campaign executes 'Project 2025' QR plans
Voters who scan the QR code will be directed to a "Project 2025" page hosted by Joe Biden's campaign. They will be able to learn about how the president's team gives an idea of Trump's plans for a second presidency.
The page claims that the former president aims to revoke reproductive rights nationwide and use the presidency for personal revenge, among other objectives.
Trump claimed that he would not sign a national abortion ban. However, he has vowed to retaliate if he wins the election, particularly after he was recently found guilty in the New York hush money case.
Joe Biden's campaign spokesperson says Donald Trump is focused on 'benefitting' himself
Speaking about the presidential debate, Joe Biden's senior spokesperson Kevin Munoz said, “Today’s show of force in Atlanta and across the battlegrounds emphasizes the two contrasting visions the American people will see on the debate stage tonight: between President Biden fighting for the American people, and Donald Trump whose campaign is focused on benefitting one person only: himself."
Donald Trump's campaign is set to launch ads as well
In response, Donald Trump’s campaign plans to air two 30-second advertisements during the debate.
One of these two advertisements suggests that Biden may not be able to complete a full second term.
This counter-strategy is aimed at questioning the president's capability to serve another term in office.
A mobile billboard will be launched in the locations around the debate by the Democratic National Committee which will be targeting Trump over his election interference case in Georgia.
