WASHINGTON, DC: Senator John Fetterman questioned the situation surrounding Iran’s reported new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba Khamenei, who is the son of Ali Khamenei.

Fetterman said there is still no clear proof that the new leader is active. He pointed out that media outlets have not seen him in public, and even his voice has not been heard. Because of this, Fetterman called for “proof of life.”

During an interview, he also said that recent actions by the US and Israel have helped make the region safer and improved global security. This is not the first time he has spoken strongly about tensions with Iran. Earlier, he urged Israel to target Iran’s newly appointed ayatollah and other members of the country’s leadership.

John Fetterman asks for ‘proof of life’ of Iran’s new leader

Fetterman has raised concerns about the absence of Iran’s reported new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba, amid growing speculation and strike rumors in the region. His remarks added to the ongoing discussion about leadership visibility in Iran.

Fetterman’s comments came during an appearance on 'The Big Weekend Show' on Fox News on Saturday, March 14. While discussing the situation, he questioned why the Iranian leader has not appeared publicly or addressed the media.

He said, "I want to just remind, all of the media haven't seen the new leader of Iran, not one single time. not even his voice. You know, like, demand some proof of life. Look what Israel and America have accomplished. It's really remarkable. It's made the region much safer and Iran more secure."

John Fetterman questions Mojtaba Khamenei’s condition

Fetterman also made strong remarks about Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Mojtaba, during an interview on NewsNation. While discussing the leadership change in Iran, he openly supported the idea of targeting the country’s new leader.

“They should kill him, too,” Fetterman said on NewsNation, referring to Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the eldest son of slain Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, who succeeded him as Iran’s supreme leader, and added that the world is “100%” better with his father dead.

Mojtaba has not appeared in public since the 88-member Assembly of Experts selected him as Iran’s new supreme leader. He was also absent from a rally in Tehran that marked his rise to the position. Iranian officials have claimed he was injured during the first round of airstrikes carried out by the US and Israel on February 28.

Fetterman questioned the absence of any public message or appearance and suggested the injuries might be serious. “He hasn’t been able to produce a video or been seen in public at all. Why?” Fetterman asked.

“Maybe they’re seriously injured. It could be even harder for him to sit down and do a video and have them put that out. “Hopefully, he is significantly wounded. And if he does recover, I do absolutely support having Israel just eliminate him, along with any other members of the leadership.”
