WASHINGTON, DC: Fox News anchor Sean Hannity recently took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share a clip of John Kirby, the Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the National Security Council in the White House, and his response to questions about the border.

Kirby was asked about the White House’s impact on the border, and as Hannity shared the clip on Rumble, he also wrote that Kirby “can’t name one thing Biden is doing” that is making an impact on the border.

Following the clip, several people weighed in on the matter and Kirby faced backlash on the social media platform.

Sean Hannity takes a dig at John Kirby

On X, Fox News anchor Sean Hannity wrote, “Kirby Can’t Name One Thing Biden Is Doing that Is Making an Impact on the Border.”

In the clip, a reporter briefly spoke about the border before she asked Kirby, “Can you point to one thing the White House is doing right now that is making an impact on the border? Is making an impact with this current surge?”

To this, John Kirby responded, “One of the things we…well, obviously it’s a big part of the supplemental request, and should we get the funding we are asking for, it will give us an opportunity to put more border patrol officers out there on the border, it will give us a chance to increase the asylum court officers, and help with that process.”

He continued, “There are some physical security measures that are baked into that funding as well. Part and parcel of that supplemental request was recognizing that more needs to be done on border security, and we’re willing to keep having that conversation with members of Congress.”

Kirby briefly also brushed upon the need to find the “root causes of migration,” but the internet was far from convinced.

John Kirby’s remarks on the border backfire online

After Fox News anchor Sean Hannity shared the clip of John Kirby and his comment on the White House’s actions that are impacting the border issue, the internet had a lot to say.

One user wrote, “That's because there isn't any,” and another asked, “Are you surprised?”

“That’s because he hasn’t done a darn thing. By design,” wrote a third person, and another resonated with the thought as they wrote, “That’s cause he is not doing anything.”

The internet continued to weigh in on the remarks as one user wrote, “This administration is a complete failure for the American people,” and another wrote, “He is such a phony lying bastard.”
