LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jon Stewart has thrown full his support behind Tucker Carlson despite feuding with him on a number of occasions.

The comedian agreed with the commentator on whether America should intervene in the ongoing war between Israel and Iran, as reported by The Hill.

On Thursday, July 19, during his podcast ‘Weekly Show with Jon Stewart’, Stewart said, “We’re in such a bizarro world. You’ve got me nodding my head to Tucker Carlson videos.”

Tucker Carlson rebuked Ted Cruz over Iran intervention

The publication reported that the writer began his podcast referring to Carlson’s interview with Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) on Wednesday, where the conservative journalist attacked the politician for his wish to overthrow the Iranian government.

Carlson angrily told Cruz, “You’re a senator who’s calling for an overthrow of the government, and you don’t know anything about the country," after the latter struggled to answer a question about the population of Iran.

Stewart backed Carlson during his podcast that also featured CNN’s Christiane Amanpour and former President Obama adviser Ben Rhodes.

Jon Stewart supports Tucker Carlson over Iran and attacks Trump

He added, “You’ve got Tucker Carlson going, ‘Why are we going to war with Iran, again,’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah, you tell him, brother’. That’s how f**king upside-down we find ourselves in this moment.”

During the same episode, the 62-year-old TV host slammed Donald Trump as he stated, “What’s this week’s episode? Liberation Day and tariffs? Great, let’s, let’s do that. Oh, hey, it’s tanking the bond market, and everybody is freaking out,” as reported by the Daily Beast.

“Oh, great, yeah, no, we're, that's the plan. Now we’re just going to give everybody 90 days, and then he comes on and goes, ‘Everybody’s kissing my ass to make deals,’ but nobody seems to be making any f**king deals. And so then we just move on to the next episode,” Stewart added.

Jon Stewart and Tucker Carlson have feuded over the years

Meanwhile, in the past Stewart and Carlson have clashed several times.

Infamously in 2004, he told the 56-year-old during an episode of CNN’s ‘Crossfire’ with Paul Begala, “You know what’s interesting, though? You’re as big a d**k on your show as you are on any show.”

Later in 2021, Stewart issued a faux apology to Carlson after he downgraded the government of Joe Biden for allowing pregnant women to serve in the military.

On X, he posted, “I called Tucker Carlson a d**k on National television. It’s high time I apologize... to d**ks. Never should have lumped you in with that terrible terrible person.”
