OKLAHOMA CITY: Justin Timberlake has postponed his December 2 concert at Oklahoma City’s Paycom Center due to a back injury sustained during his tour.

The announcement, shared via Instagram, is the latest setback to his Forget Tomorrow World Tour, marking the eighth postponed date since the tour began in April.

In his statement on Instagram Stories, Justin Timberlake expressed disappointment at having to cancel his tour stop, saying, “I’m so sorry Oklahoma City… I have to cancel the show on 12/2. I hurt my back in NOLA and my doctors have instructed me to rest a little bit longer. Thank you for your support – y’all know I hate doing this.”

No new date for the Oklahoma City show has been announced yet.

This fall has been particularly challenging for the pop icon. In late October, Timberlake rescheduled six tour dates — including stops in Columbus, Detroit, and Chicago — due to bronchitis and laryngitis, pushing those performances to 2025. Earlier in October, he also postponed a Newark, New Jersey show due to injury but managed to perform there the following week.

Despite these hurdles, Timberlake is aiming to return to the stage for his December 4 concert in Houston, Texas. The tour will continue through December 20 before pausing for the holidays, resuming in January 2025 with additional stops across North America, South America, and Europe.

The Forget Tomorrow World Tour is in support of Timberlake’s latest album, 'Everything I Thought It Was', which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 earlier this year.

Fans, meanwhile, remain hopeful for his recovery and a smooth continuation of the tour.

Notably, the 'Sexy Back' singer had faced legal troubles in September when he was charged with driving while intoxicated (DUI). He pled guilty and was fined $500 along with 25 hours of community service.

Justin Timberlake sparks mixed reactions after canceling Oklahoma show due to back injury

Justin Timberlake’s recent decision to cancel his December 2 concert in Oklahoma City due to a back injury ignited a flurry of responses on social media, ranging from concern to criticism and even a bit of humor.

Some social media users expressed disappointment at the news, while others joked about the pop star's iconic dance moves and speculated about the tour’s challenges.

One user wrote, "This will ruin the tour," while the other user wrote, "He's not bringing his sexy back."

Another wrote, “Britney voodoo,” seemingly alluding to his ex, Britney Spears.

One user sarcastically suggested, “Tickets were not selling. It’s okay to be honest.”

"He gotta stop hitting that pop lock at this old age," another joked about his signature dance style.

Not all reactions were lighthearted or critical. Some fans showed empathy for the singer’s situation, "Wow, that’s disappointing to hear! I hope he recovers quickly. Back injuries can be really tough. It must be frustrating for fans who were looking forward to the show. Let’s hope he can reschedule and come back stronger than ever!" one supporter commented.
