LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Justin Timberlake is banking on a reunion with his NSYNC members to “distract” his fans from the troubles plaguing him in the last few months.

Recently, a source spilled to In Touch that the 43-year-old pop star is reaching out to his former bandmates - Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass, and JC Chasez - in the hope of regrouping and mending his reputation.

Justin Timberlake is banking on his band to ‘distract’ from his recent troubles

Recently, a source close to the ‘Friends With Benefits’ star spilled to In Touch that the recent resurgence in attention on the band has allegedly inspired Justin to think of a reunion with his old bandmates.

While the band was formed in 1995, and was at the top of their form in 2002, NSYNC decided to go on a hiatus. Though the Grammy winner embarked on his solo musical career, it wasn’t until 2004 that Justin left the band.

Yet, he kept in touch with his former bandmates while reuniting with them for a surprise performance in March 2024.

It was the first time in many years that the quintet performed together during Justin’s “One Night Only” show on Wednesday, March 13, at The Wiltern in Los Angeles.

Speaking to In Touch, the source shared, “Now is the time to give the people what they want and remind everyone why they fell in love with Justin in the first place.”

They added, “Fans are eager for a blast from the past. Justin’s team is hoping nostalgia will distract from his recent troubles and shine a light on his talent as an entertainer!”

Moreover, because of their chartbuster song ‘Bye Bye Bye’ getting renewed interest owing to its part in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine’, fans are reportedly eager for a reunion of the Hollywood Walk of Stars winning band.

Justin Timberlake's recent troubles

In June, the ‘Cry Me a River’ singer found himself in the headlines after he was arrested for DUI in Sag Harbor, New York, on June 18.

According to the police reports, the entertainer was pulled over after leaving the American Hotel in the Hamptons around midnight.

The singer, who was taken into police custody, was released on the same day after spending the night at the police station. In the recently concluded court case, Justin avoided drunk driving charges after reaching a plea deal.

While his arrest made considerable headlines, in October, Page Six revealed the identity of his friends who were accompanying the actor.

According to the outlet, the ‘Mirrors’ singer was accompanied by his wife Jessica Biel’s former stylist Estee Stanley, and her producer husband, Byran Furst. Thus, his choice of companion raised the eyebrows of many fans with them wondering whether everything was right in his marriage with his actress wife.

“His wife is really clean-living and after he was caught holding hands on a night out with another woman, things were already strained. This arrest and the fact he was with a female friend the night it happened has really brought things to a head. There’s no other way to say it that his marriage is now in crisis,” said a source, per Perez Hilton.
