WASHINGTON, DC: Kamala Harris, the Democratic presidential nominee, has expressed her readiness on July 25 to debate her Republican opponent, former President Donald Trump.

Vice President Harris has confirmed she will debate Trump on September 10. This debate was originally scheduled by ABC News for Trump and President Joe Biden, who withdrew from the presidential race on July 21.

"Many of you have been asking me about the debate and I'll tell you, I'm ready to debate Donald Trump. I have agreed to the previously agreed upon September 10th," Harris addressed reporters on an airport tarmac just outside of Washington, CNBC reported.

Harris commented on Trump's statements, "He agreed to that previously. Now it appears he's backpedaling."

"I'm ready and I think the voters deserve to see the split screen that exists in this race on a debate stage. And so I'm ready. Let's go," she challenged Trump.

Earlier this week, Trump hinted during a press conference that he did not "like the idea" of taking part in an ABC-hosted debate, calling it "fake news."

However, he declared that if Harris were to win the Democratic nomination, he "absolutely" would want to debate her.

“I would be willing to do more than one debate, actually,” Trump made a statement during the afternoon call on July 23.

Kamala Harris slammed over 'premature' announcement about debate

Social media users reacted to Kamala Harris' willingness to debate Trump as soon as the news broke online, even though she hasn't yet been officially nominated.

Another user added, "Well that previous agreement was with Biden. And as of right now she’s not even officially the Top of the Ticket so this seems premature at best. She might be jinxing herself."

The third pundit chimed in, "Doesn’t she need to be democratically elected first in order to even run for president?? Is that not what Democracy is?"

Fox News invited Trump and Harris for a debate on September 17. Users asserted that Harris would not consent to participate in the Fox News debate following her recent remarks regarding a September 10 debate.

One remarked, "She ain’t got the guts to go on Fox for a debate no chance she’s gonna agree to that because she may actually have to answer for her disastrous socialist positions"

"Kamala needs to do that FOX DEBATE ON Sept 17," a person demanded.
