NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre and the National Security Council's John Kirby, who regularly share the podium at media briefings, reportedly have a tense relationship behind the scenes, according to sources within the White House.

This came as President Joe Biden gears up for a challenging re-election campaign, and his top spokespeople are reportedly facing internal discord.

The situation involves the existence of one press secretary in the title but effectively two in practice, one dedicated to domestic policy and the other handling foreign policy.

Following this event, Fox News host Sean Hannity took to X, formerly known as Twitter and mocked the two secretaries.

Apparently, several users on X also mocked Pierre and Kirby and called them “liars.”

Sean Hannity mocks Karine-Jean Pierre and John Kirby’s ‘stress briefing’

Fox News host Sean Hannity took to X and wrote, “WHITE HOUSE STRESS BRIEFING: KJP and John Kirby at Odds, Relationship 'Fraught With Tension'; Report.”

Hannity’s tweet featured an article from his official website which revealed that the relationship between Karine-Jean Pierre and John Kirby is “fraught with tension” as per Axios report.

As President Biden heads into a tough re-election campaign, his top-ranking spokespeople are at odds while navigating a situation in which there’s one press secretary in name but two in practice — one for domestic policy, the other for foreign policy, Axios states.

Kirby, a favored guest at press briefings and a Biden administration favorite, has been increasingly taking the podium amid ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.

White House sources suggest that Pierre was cautious about Kirby from the outset.

Axios reports, “When Biden offered Jean-Pierre the press secretary job in 2022, he awkwardly added that Kirby also would be joining and that they’d be a team. Jean-Pierre left the meeting with Biden upset and confused about whether she actually had the job and what Kirby’s role would be, according to three people familiar with her comments at the time.”

Following this disclosure, numerous users on X took harsh jabs at the two secretaries.

One person wrote, “Thats what happens when liars dont coordinate their stories,” and another said, “Maybe they don’t like each others lies.”

An X user simply called out both, “Fire both ASAP.”

One more person slammed them, “Blind leading the blind,” and another wrote, “Yeah, the funny thing is you don’t know who to believe they’re both liars.”

One trolled, “Trouble in Biden’s Paradise? Ya hate to see it.”
