WASHINGTON, DC: White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt praised the Trump administration’s actions against Iran during an appearance on 'My View' with host Lara Trump on Saturday, March 14. During the interview, Leavitt defended the operation as a necessary step to eliminate the threat posed by Iran’s nuclear ambitions and military capabilities.

The remarks came after the United States and Israel launched a joint operation against Iran on February 28, targeting its military and political establishment following the breakdown of negotiations over its nuclear program.

Karoline Leavitt defends Trump’s Iran strikes as necessary for US security

During the discussion, Leavitt emphasized that the administration’s actions were aimed at long-term security for the US and its allies. She said, “But ultimately, your audience must remember, this is for the long-term gain of wiping out the threat of an Iranian te*rorist regime from obtaining and using a nuclear bomb against the United States of America and our allies.”

Host Lara Trump praised the work of officials at the White House, telling Leavitt, “Well, Karoline, you guys are doing amazing work there at the White House. We are so appreciative of all you do, and we know that you guys are working over time.”

During the interview, Lara also raised concerns about statements reportedly coming from Iranian leaders. She said the new supreme leader had told “Gulf neighbors that US military bases should be removed from their countries."

She also referred to a message from another surviving senior Iranian leader directed at President Donald Trump on X that warned, “watch out for yourself lest you be eliminated.”

Lara said the remarks suggested the regime was attempting to reestablish itself and added that some people in the United States appeared to be “actively rooting against the success of this mission,” which she called “mind-boggling.”

Karoline Leavitt claims Iran’s military capabilities severely weakened after strikes

In response, Leavitt said the Iranian regime and “these radical te*rorists” were speaking “a lot of empty words,” while their weakened actions reflected the success of the mission.

According to Leavitt, the operation has significantly reduced Iran’s military capabilities. She said the Iranian regime’s navy had been “totally annihilated,” and that nearly all of its ballistic missile threat had been wiped out.

She stated that “ballistic missile attacks from Iran were down 90%, while drone capabilities were down 95%.” Leavitt also said “more than 65 Iranian naval ships had been sunk and that over 6,000 targets across Iran had been struck."

She described Iran as “a very big country,” adding that the mission would continue until all objectives set by Trump and the Secretary of War were accomplished.

Leavitt reiterated that the operation aims to “totally eradicate this threat of Iran building a nuclear bomb to threaten the world and to attack US troops and personnel in the region with their ballistic missile arsenal.”

She concluded by stating that while presidents have long spoken about the Iranian threat, “President Trump is the first president to actually have the courage to do something about it,” noting that the White House has been working “24-7” to inform Americans about what she described as the operation’s success.
