Kate Middleton being ‘hounded’ like mother Diana is ‘hurting’ Prince William, claims royal expert
LONDON, ENGLAND: Prince William is reportedly feeling hurt by the treatment of his wife, Kate Middleton, and is seeing similarities to the hounding his mother, Diana, experienced, according to a royal expert.
Prince William has always been 'sensitive' from childhood
Speaking on 'Good Morning Britain', Sunday Times royal editor Roya Nikkhah addressed the rampant online conspiracy theories surrounding the health of the Princess of Wales following her abdominal surgery on January 16.
“Having seen his mother go through quite a lot of that, the hounding of his mother," Nikkhah said.
"I think he feels he is seeing elements of that being breached again in terms of the demands and screeches at his wife over her medical privacy and that is hurting him,” Nikkhah added, reported Daily Mail.
When asked by host Susanna Reid if Prince William feels ‘sensitive’ about the similarities, Nikkhah added, “He always has been, ever since he has been a child and since he has been with Catherine since university.”
Kate Middleton is expected to speak but may not reveal what surgery she had
The royal expert also revealed that Middleton might address her health condition at public engagements next month, as per her close friends.
“I think she is going to be much more open about what’s happened, I think she will do it in a natural organic way like on an engagement,” said Nikkhah.
She further added, “I’m not saying she will go into every detail about what surgery she has had but she might find a way to speak about her recovery about the places it’s taken her mentally and physically."
She said, "We know mental health is an important thing for them, that is the way she is going to let the people know what has been going on.”
Kate Middleton was spotted in public amid wild speculations about her absence
Amid the speculations surrounding Middleton's absence, she was reportedly spotted looking "happy, healthy and relaxed" on a visit to a local farm shop over the weekend.
“She has been at the children’s school, school parents have seen her in the past few weeks, she has been seen at this farm shop, so she has been out and about,” said Nikkhah.
After speaking to a friend of the Prince and Princess of Wales who "saw them and spoke to them last week," Nikkhah said they have "felt under pressure" over the social media reaction to Middleton's Mother’s Day family snap.
