Kate Middleton's representative dismisses rumors related to Princess of Wales' whereabouts
LONDON, ENGLAND: Kate Middleton’s representatives have taken into notice the social media trend dedicated to finding the Princess of Wales’ whereabouts. The palace executives are thus addressing the same to dispel rumors about her health.
The 42-year-old Princess is in restitution after undergoing a planned abdominal surgery in January. She is not scheduled to make a comeback to public duties until the Spring, it has been reported.
However, fans of the Princess were anxious about her whereabouts after the future queen of England and her husband Prince William failed to make an appearance at the Thanksgiving Service of King Constantine of Greece.
Prince Williams’ absence further fueled the speculation about Kate’s health as the Grecian King is also the godfather of the Prince of Wales.
Palace representative shuts down rumor regarding Kate Middleton’s health
All the rumors were, however, shut down for good when a palace representative addressed the issue and said, “Kensington Palace made it clear in January the timelines of the princess’ recovery and we’d only be providing significant updates,” per OK! Magazine.
“That guidance stands,” shared the palace representative. In January, it was shared by the palace that Kate will be back to royal duties in Spring after recovering from the operation.
The palace representative's words came at the heels of the Twitter trend 'Where is Kate?' started after a representative for Prince William said that the father-of-three would not attend the Thanksgiving service for King Constantine.
Kate Middleton is 'doing well'
Another representative from the palace shared with The Independent on Thursday, February 29, that Kate is "doing well."
The representative further said, “We were very clear from the outset that the Princess of Wales was out until after Easter and Kensington Palace would only be providing updates when something was significant.”
Prince William returned to royal duty
Amid the concern regarding Kate's health, Prince William recently returned to royal duty when he visited a London synagogue on Thursday, February 29, to meet young people representing Jewish students.
This came as a reassurance to Kate's fans as the Prince is back to royal duties after missing the service for King Constantine.
Dr James Thompson discussed Kate Middleton's return to royal duties
While the palace has made it clear that Kate will not be back "until after Easter," experts have questioned whether she would be able to handle international affairs immediately after her return, per OK! Magazine.
Sharing his opinion to GB News, renowned doctor James Thompson previously said, "Depending on the success of her recovery and how confident she is feeling at this time, this will determine when she is back performing her royal duties."
The doctor added, "With a swift recovery, we expect to see Kate back to her usual duties relatively soon, back meeting the general public and her usual royal engagements," before noting, "However, this most likely will not include traveling outside the UK in the early stages."
