TOKYO, JAPAN: Even on the other side of the world, Katy Perry knows how to make an entrance. While taking a break in Japan from her 'The Lifetimes World Tour,' the 41-year-old 'California Girls' singer went out for a low-key lunch with her boyfriend, Justin Trudeau.

The casual meal came with a high-profile twist: the couple were joined by Fumio Kishida, Japan’s former prime minister, and his wife, Yuko Kishida.

Kishida took the chance to thank the former Canadian prime minister for keeping their friendship strong even after leaving the political spotlight. Speaking about Perry and Trudeau’s attire, they kept it classy and elegant for a semi-official lunch date.

Fumio Kishida posted two photos on Instagram on Thursday, November 4, and expressed his gratitude to Justin Trudeau for the visit. "Former Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau came to Japan with his partner Katy Perry and had lunch with us," Kishida wrote.

"During my time as prime minister, I met prime ministers many times, and during my visit to Canada, we worked together to strengthen our bilateral relations, including formulating the 'Nikka Action Plan.'

"I am glad that we are continuing this friendship. Prime Minister Trudeau still remains strong that in addition to official events, he visited the Atomic Bomb Archives separately during the G7 Hiroshima Summit."

Justin Trudeau stood right beside her, and Perry slipped her arm behind him as they posed. Trudeau went with a timeless grey suit paired with matching trousers, a clean, put-together look for their meeting with former Japanese prime minister Fumio Kishida and his wife, Yuko Kishida.
