LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The death of a loved one can take a toll on family members, and that was the case for Ozzy Osbourne’s daughter, Kelly Osbourne.

She admitted that the grief following her father’s passing became overwhelming, leaving her barely able to recognize herself amid her weight loss.

During an interview, the former reality star said she had “no idea” how lean and thin she had become in 2025 until she saw a photo of herself during a fitting for the 2026 Grammy Awards.

She said the way she looked in the photo “scared” her and admitted that she saw a “broken person” when she looked at the picture. Looking back on the loss of her father, she said, “You’re filled with so much pain that the feeling of hunger can’t even pop up.”

Kelly Osbourne details weight loss after Ozzy Osbourne’s death

Kelly shared her thoughts in an interview with the Daily Mail on Sunday. The 41-year-old said, “I looked like the crypt keeper,” referring to the character from the ‘Tales from the Crypt’ horror franchise.

“I said, ‘This is scary. I didn’t know I looked like this,’” she continued. “My spine, you could see every single bone. I couldn’t see what other people saw because I was in so much pain. I just saw a broken person.”

Kelly also told the outlet that she had to wear “a wig to cover my face, so you couldn’t see how skinny my cheekbones really were.”

She said her team also searched for a flattering outfit for her to wear on the red carpet. “They knew I was going through something. So, we were trying to find clothes to not make me look skinnier,” Kelly explained.

“I was scared. I wanted to be there to support my mom (Sharon Osbourne) and to pay tribute to my father’s legacy, (but) I don’t think I should have gone. I wasn’t very well,” she added. Kelly also revealed that she tried to shield her 3-year-old son, Sidney, from seeing her upset.

“Whenever he walked in the room, something would come over me, and I’d snap into Miss Fun Mom,” Kelly said. “I didn’t cry in front of him... I always made sure that he was not exposed to inappropriate sorrow.”
