LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kellyanne Conway's daughter, Claudia Conway, sparked widespread attention on social media with her sharp critique of her mother's defense of former President Donald Trump.

After Trump was found guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records in his New York criminal trial, Kellyanne, a former Trump adviser, lauded him as "resilient and a fighter," prompting Claudia's pointed response: "I think you forgot to add 'felon.'"

Claudia Conway's deleted remark circulates widely

Claudia's remark, although later deleted, was captured by various individuals, including lawyer Bradley P Moss, and circulated widely online.

"I know @realDonaldTrump is resilient and a fighter," she wrote. "Now it is time to focus on The Debate, his Running Mate, And Making America Great. #Win"

She continued to express her views, emphasizing the importance of acknowledging Trump's status as a convicted felon, even as she clarified her love and respect for her mother beyond politics.

"I'm no avid Biden backer, but we must examine the facts," Claudia wrote. "The fact is that Trump is a convicted felon—convicted in a fair trial honoring due process and jury neutrality. The man that many of you seem to want to lay down your lives for has been, is, and will always be a criminal."

George Conway joins the fray

Claudia's father, George Conway, a conservative lawyer and vocal Trump critic, also joined in the conversation, sarcastically responding to Kellyanne's defense of Trump with pointed remarks.

"This Verdict Won't Change One Fundamental Thing," Kellyanne wrote. "It won't make @JoeBiden any less 81 years old...won't make @KamalaHarris smarter...won't excuse the fact that @JoeBiden crushed the American Dream for so many...won't excuse the millions, including terrorists and Chinese nationals, Biden has let walk into our country."

"Maybe his lawyers should put these points in their pre-sentencing memo [winking face emoji]," George replied.

Balancing familial bonds with independent opinions

As the controversy unfolded, Claudia remained vocal, posting additional messages that underscored her stance on Trump's conviction and her right to express her own opinions independently of her family's affiliations. Despite any differences, Claudia made it clear that familial love coexisted with her freedom to voice her perspective.

"P.S., I love my mom, but I can have an opinion too. Everyone deserves to have a say, you know?" she added in a subsequent post.

The timing of Trump's upcoming sentencing in July, just ahead of crucial political events including the presidential debates and the Republican National Convention, adds another layer of significance to Claudia's outspokenness.

Social media users express disbelief and sympathy

Social media users took to various platforms to express their reactions to the unfolding saga.

One user wrote,"Kellyanne destroyed her marriage and family because of her devotion to rapist and convicted felon, Donald J. Trump. The party of family values and law & order thinks rape and felons are ok if their cult leader Trump commits them."

Another user commented, "How could she choose trump over her family? I will never understand it. So many families are just like this. All torn apart because of one man. Makes no sense to me."

One user replied, "Right?! I am holding out hope that Kellyanne can snap out of it!"

One commented, "Poor Claudia. What a mother."

One added, "Felon trump."

One user added, "Yeah, that's going to leave a mark "

One said, "truth hurts."
