In a candid interview with Elle magazine, Kesha shared how she once used a Taylor Swift party to test the intentions of her ex-boyfriend.

While reflecting on her new music and personal growth, she also opened up about the intriguing way a relationship ended after what she described as a "starf---er" test, as per Entertainment Weekly.

"I had a feeling that he was in it for the wrong reasons and was a bit of a starf---er," Kesha recalled during the interview. "I decided to test that theory and took one of my friends instead of him to Taylor Swift’s party."

It didn’t take long for her suspicions to be confirmed. "He came over the next day and broke up with me," Kesha revealed, emphasizing that the breakup only solidified what she already knew.

Kesha previously hinted at this breakup in a tweet back in March when she asked her fans to share their worst relationship stories.

After one follower encouraged her to spill her own tale, Kesha responded with the bombshell: "I got dumped because I didn’t take a guy to the Taylor Swift afterparty."

She went on to share more details, adding, “We were together for a year and a half.” 

This wasn’t the first time Kesha publicly addressed her breakup, as she had taken to X (formerly Twitter) four months prior to announce, "I just got dumped for the first time… in my LIFE. Can you believe it? We’re all f---ed."

She explained that after a series of disappointing relationships, she realized the importance of treating herself with the same level of care and attention that she desired from a partner.

"I kept hearing people say, 'I’m looking for The One.' I kept waiting for somebody else to fill that space, and then I just stepped into it myself," Kesha shared.

She elaborated on her journey of self-love, explaining how she began taking herself on vacations, buying flowers, and indulging in luxury shopping trips - all to celebrate herself and reclaim her joy.

"You gotta be all those things to yourself - your own boyfriend, sugar daddy, rich husband, best friend, cheerleader," Kesha advised.
