Kevin Hart tells Jimmy Fallon how his underwear landed him in a wheelchair while racing Stevan Ridley
MANHATTAN, NEW YORK CITY: Late-night TV shows are known for bringing out the best stories from celebrities, and when Kevin Hart joined Jimmy Fallon on 'The Tonight Show', the audience was in for a treat.
Hart shared a laugh-out-loud tale involving a former NFL running back, and an unexpected foot race that took a hilarious turn.
'My underwear had no more elasticity'
Hart set the scene at a lively cookout where former NFL running back Stevan Ridley was in attendance. "I had a couple of drinks. I had a little bit of that Gran Coramino in my system," Hart chuckled.
The conversation took an unexpected turn when Hart, fueled by liquid courage, challenged Ridley to a foot race. Fallon, bewildered, questioned Hart's motivation: "Why?!"
Hart insisted the challenge was entirely unprovoked, and he exclaimed, "I'll whup your ass in a foot race." The absurdity of the situation escalated as the two headed to the middle of the street for an impromptu sprint.
The comedian recalled the moment with a mix of humor and disbelief, "And we went out there and did a foot race."
As the story unfolded, Hart revealed a crucial detail that led to his unfortunate mishap. "My underwear had no more elasticity," he confessed.
The late-night host couldn't contain his laughter as Hart explained how wearing the same underwear all day caused a hilarious wardrobe malfunction during the race.
Hart elaborated, "Well, this is 2:00 am. I've been in these drawers all day. So my situation was all over the place during the run."
The absurdity reached new heights when Hart revealed the exact moment of his fashion faux pas, "I felt it on step number 15 in the race."
'I won't drink and race anymore'
As Hart continued sharing his misadventure with Fallon, the absurdity reached new heights. Hart, explaining the disastrous moment of the race, said, "It was the extension. I tried to turn it over."
Hilarity ensued as he vividly described the comedic chain of events: "And when I tried to turn it over, it was to find another gear. And I tried to extend my step. In extending my step, my drawers, not having the support that they were supposed to -- Flip, flop, flam, flip. That's where the situation happened."

Fallon, clearly amused by the unfolding tale, exclaimed, "This is unbelievable." Hart, undeterred, admitted, "Yes, it's the truth. It's the truth. I lost my [bleep] in the bush." The late-night host couldn't resist a quip, asking if Hart managed to find it.
Hart replied with deadpan humor, "No. Nobody would look for it. It's probably still there. A piece of it's still there. It was a real situation."
Acknowledging the potential dangers of such escapades, Fallon wisely advised, "You got to be careful with that stuff." Hart, with a humorous tone, declared, "I won't drink and race anymore.
"But I'm done doing that. I'm done with the whole idea of me still competing in stuff that I can't do anymore. I'm okay with the fact that I'm 44 years old. It's over. The life that once was is no longer now. I'm done."
Fallon, attempting to bring the conversation back to humor, questioned Hart's sudden retirement from racing. Hart, ever the comedian, defended himself, saying, "What do you mean, what am I talking about, Jimmy? I'm not racing no more. I'm not doing it."
Fallon assured him, "No one cares," sparking a hilarious back-and-forth about racing prowess.
