Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner's longtime bodyguard Mason Haynes dies in road accident at 52
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner's longtime bodyguard Mason Haynes, who also worked with names like Charlie Puth, Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Kevin Hart, and more, has died.
Haynes was 52 when he lost his life "in a tragic road traffic accident" on July 4, "two days before what would have been his 53rd birthday." His family has since launched a GoFundMe campaign to honor his memory and support his loved ones following the sudden loss.
Mason Haynes' family remembers him as 'one of those rare, exceptional people'
A GoFundMe has now been set up by his family, which read, "Some people pass through life. Others leave a mark on everyone they meet. Mason Haynes was one of those rare, exceptional people.”
The online fundraising campaign also shared that Haynes is survived by his wife, a daughter named Brooke, a son named Noah, "a loving family, and an extraordinary circle of friends spread across the world."
Remembering the late bodyguard as "a protector. A mentor. A prankster," the GoFundMe noted that Haynes "never let a loved one down" and always "saw the deep qualities in people that others often overlooked.”
GoFundMe launched to support Mason Haynes' family
The fundraiser has been launched to ensure Haynes "gets the send-off he truly deserves - a celebration of a life that touched so many people. Beyond that, they will help ease some of the immediate financial pressures that inevitably follow such a sudden and devastating loss."
"Your support will give Fay and their family the time and space to grieve, heal and begin rebuilding their lives," it added.
Trojan Security UK pays tribute to Mason Haynes
Haynes' employer, Trojan Security UK, has also paid tribute to him following his passing.
In an Instagram post, the company wrote, "We would like to pay homage to an absolute legend in the Close Protection game. Big Mason. Gone too soon. Rest easy and fly high Brother.”
Years ago, while speaking with London Now, Haynes had shared that initially he "worked with the Kardashian family, namely Kim, Kris, Kendall and Kanye too. Additionally, I was one of Kevin Hart's bodyguards. Currently I'm Charlie Puth's personal protection, as well as Lewis Hamilton's, and recently went to Dubai with him and Nicki Minaj."
Mason Haynes recalled Kim Kardashian's 2016 Paris robbery incident
Haynes was working with Kim when the 2016 Paris robbery incident happened.
He had reportedly said, "Although I can't go into much detail about that, I was part of that team, and that incident was simply a set of unfortunate circumstances which led to something bad happening."
Haynes had also once spoken to Silver Swan Recruitment's Philippa Smith and explained how to be a better bodyguard.
"Many bodyguards make the mistake of thinking that they're friends with their clients. And as soon as you blur the line between professionalism and friendship, I think you're in serious trouble," he added.
