Kourtney Kardashian fires back at Jennifer Lawrence over 'annoying' comment

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Kourtney Kardashian is not happy with what Jennifer Lawrence said about her last year. The Kardashian sister revisited the actress' remarks, in which she called her “annoying” while commenting on her behavior.

In the Season 8 premiere of 'The Kardashians', Kourtney reacted to the comments and revealed that Lawrence had reached out to her through her sister Kim Kardashian. She also shared how she felt when the remarks surfaced and suggested a playful response to the actress.

During the new season premiere, Kourtney opened up to her friend Simon Huck about Lawrence's comments. She recalled that her mother had mentioned Lawrence and Emma Stone during a conversation, saying, “Well, my mom wrote something, like, ‘Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone, I talked to them last night, they’re the best."

Kourtney jokingly responded, “OK, she thinks she’s one of my sisters?" She added that she would get to "slap" Lawrence, seemingly referring to her viral fight with sister Kim Kardashian.

"I was like, ‘Invite her over, and I’ll go for it like she’s my sister," she added.

Kourtney also revealed that Lawrence had contacted her through Kim. The actress had “asked Kim for my email,” Kourtney said, before writing, “‘I just feel like I’m one of your sisters.’ ”

Reflecting on Lawrence's original comments, Kourtney admitted, “When I rewatched it, I was like, oh it’s not that bad, actually".

“But I’m also like, it was a really sensitive week when she sent it, and I felt like our show was airing and everybody was ganging up on me.”

Kourtney said she had seen Lawrence’s email late the previous night and had not responded yet. She suggested a playful reply referencing her infamous fight with Kim.

“I’ll just say, next time you wanna come over, we can go at it, Kourtney and Kim style,” she suggested.

Huck agreed with the idea, adding, “That’s what you need to say, ‘cause she’ll know that fight.”

What Jennifer Lawrence said about Kourtney Kardashian

In a November 2025 video for Vanity Fair's lie detector test, Lawrence said that Kourtney “drives" her crazy and was “more annoying than ever and everything has to be an announcement”. The comment came when Lawrence was asked which of the Kardashian sisters she found the most annoying.

Lawrence, who has openly discussed her love for the Kardashian family and their reality shows, reached out to Kourtney, 47, after the video was posted.

In January, Lawrence also publicly addressed her comments about Kourtney on the 'Good Hang' podcast.

“I think that when I do press, I should do half (of) what normal people do,” she said. “Because I see my quotes and they’re insane. Like, ‘Jennifer Lawrence calls Kourtney Kardashian annoying.’ It’s just too... you know? It carries.”
