Annapolis Police Department responded to a welfare check request from one of Kyle's parents on April 14, after they hadn't heard from her for several days. Her father, Robert, had last spoken to Kyle on April 8, while her mother, Jacquie, hadn't communicated with her for months.

Jacquie expressed concern about a video Kyle posted on April 4, although the exact reason behind her alarm remains unclear.

The incident report is heavily redacted, but it indicates that Kyle's mother was deeply worried about the video and suspected it might have contributed to her daughter's disappearance.

Police gained access to Kyle's apartment and tragically found her dead. Details regarding the condition of her body or the circumstances of her death are not provided in the documents, except a mention that she was "beyond help".

While the initial call to Kyle's address suggested a possible overdose, there is no indication of drug involvement in the report. The case is now under the jurisdiction of the Medical Examiner's Office, and an autopsy is pending to determine the cause of death.
