Lana Del Rey’s pals concerned her 'impulsive' marriage with Jeremy Dufrene happened ‘way too quickly’

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lana Del Rey, 39, has embarked on a new journey with her alligator guide husband Jeremy Dufrene, 49. 

However, according to a source, Rey's friends are concerned about the singer’s shocking marriage decision as many of them think that she “jumped into this way too quickly.”

Speaking to Life & Style, the source continued that while Dufrene looks like a “decent guy,” the ‘Young and Beautiful’ singer’s friends are still having trouble “to imagine this lasting long term.”

Speaking to Life & Style, the source explained, “Lana is very impulsive, and she’s always had a thing for older men, so in some ways this isn’t all that out of character, but that doesn’t mean people around her aren’t concerned that she’s jumped into this way too quickly.”

“By all accounts Jeremy is a decent guy, but it’s still hard to imagine this lasting long term,” noted the source. 

“Lana is a hard-core romantic,” added the source, before explaining, “When she falls in love it’s always very fast and intense, but typically it burns out quickly too.”

“The reality is she and Jeremey come from drastically different worlds, their lives couldn’t be more opposite,” the source added while highlighting the differences in their background. 

While the ‘Summertime Sadness’ singer is a Grammy-nominated artist, her husband is an alligator guide from Louisiana. 

The source shared, “Sure, she’s having fun now playing house with him on the bayou, but when the novelty wears off, no doubt she’s going to want to go back to her Hollywood life, it’s just unimaginable that she’s going to give up her career long term.”

Though Lana’s friends had some qualms about her relationship with Dufrene, the songstress is “all in right now.”

“So the only thing her friends and family can do is support her in this, because anyone that questions her or this bizarre romance risks getting cut out of her life,” concluded the source about her relationship.

Lana Del Rey and Jeremy Dufrene first met in 2019

The ‘Video Games’ singer and Jeremy Dufrene initially connected when she performed at the Buku Music + Art Project in Louisiana in March 2019 and took one of his boat tours. 

The now-married couple reconnected in May of that year during her performance at Hangout Fest while both were single.

An insider previously revealed to Daily Mail, "He saw his golden opportunity and asked her out and they have been together since. She loves older men.”

The source noted, "Her friends and team did some digging on him over fears he could be using her, but his business is lucrative and he doesn't need or want Lana's money.”

"They can see he treats her right and he's very, very low maintenance,” praised the source, before adding, “He gives her what she is seeking in a man and is romantic."

The couple tied the knot on September 26 by the water in Des Allemands, Louisiana, near the bayou where Dufrene operates his well-known swamp boat tours.
