LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Laura Ingraham, a prominent conservative voice, skewered Attorney General Merrick Garland's recent op-ed on her show 'The Ingraham Angle', branding it as a "tragic comedy" in the political theater.

In a scathing rebuke, Ingraham mocked Garland as he called the increasing attacks against the Department of Justice (DOJ) “dangerous to our democracy” in an op-ed published in The Washington Post.

 Laura Ingraham's razor-sharp response to Merrick Garland's op-ed

"Garland's tragic comedy. That is the focus of tonight's angle," she began.

"Just when we thought comedy was dead, someone from Biden's Cabinet publishes an op-ed," quipped Ingraham, setting the tone for her critique.

"In today's Washington Post, Attorney General Merrick Garland warned everyone to stop being so mean. Stop picking on the DOJ."

Ingraham, known for her sharp wit and biting commentary, didn't hold back in her response. "Well, to quote John McEnroe, 'You cannot be serious'," she retorted.

Drawing attention to Garland's apparent hypocrisy, she pointed out the irony of the Attorney General lamenting criticism while overseeing controversial prosecutions and issuing warnings about parental involvement in school board meetings and traditional Catholicism.

"The man whose department right now is prosecuting the GOP frontrunner, who himself warned about parents who stand up at school board meetings and whose department has circulated internal memos warning about traditional Catholics — that guy is upset about criticism?" Ingraham said, questioning Garland's commitment to upholding constitutional principles.

Laura Ingraham calls out Merrick Garland's oversight blind spot

Ingraham didn't stop there. She continued her dismantling of Garland's argument by reminding viewers of Congress' oversight role in allocating department funds. "Check your Constitution, sir, because it's Congress' job to decide how to spend the money allocated to each department," she asserted, emphasizing that Garland's concerns about funding were misplaced.

Ingraham concluded her segment by casting doubt on Garland's sincerity, accusing him of disregarding Congress' oversight responsibilities. Referencing recent controversies surrounding the DOJ's handling of classified documents found in President Joe Biden's garage, Ingraham portrayed Garland's response as deflective and dismissive.

"It's not up to you and your den of activists, but of course, Garland knows this. He just doesn't care, just like he doesn't care about Congress' oversight role regarding audio recordings of that interview Biden did about the classified documents found in his garage," Ingraham asserted.
