TAMPA, FLORIDA: Lieutenant Dan seemed to be furious after streamer Adin Ross announced that he is no longer offering him a $100K livestream deal after finding out about his past criminal records.

Joseph Malinowski, commonly known as Lieutenant Dan, went viral on social media on October 10, after surviving Hurricane Milton in Florida on a boat. Ross reached out to him via video call and offered a Kick contract along with a new boat worth up to $100,000, The Express Tribune reported.

Adin Ross took back the offer less than a day later after he found out about Lieutenant Dan's troubled past, which includes a prison sentence. The Kick streamer decided to not offer him a livestream deal. However, he said he would still buy the boat for him, per the outlet.

Ross said that he would now be giving the deal to his friend named Terrence. He said, "Speaking to Terrence every day. We just talked today. I'm going to just announce it again for everyone that wants to know about the Lieutenant Dan situation.

He added, "So guys, I am no longer giving Lieutenant Dan a Kick deal, but I'm giving the deal to Terrence. Terrence is going to go around Tampa, IRL streaming, and he's going to help out homeless people and help out people that are in need."

He further said, "We still want to help Lieutenant Dan, known as Joe, by giving him a boat... but we want to ensure he’s staying sober and doing it the right way."

Dan was asked about Ross taking back on the deal and was furious claiming he didn’t care because he wasn’t the one who asked for it.

He said, "He came to me first, I never went to him. He offered it to me, I never asked for it. He then turns back and starts looking about my history. Well, he should have done that before you made me the offer."

He added, "If you care about your image and for who you are working for, you should have done your diligence before offering me $100,000 deal and the boat."

He went on to claim that he was never guilty of the crime he was charged with and was wrongfully imprisoned. Moreover, he has raised over $30K via GoFundMe and will increase more in the coming days.

While offering the deal, Ross said on a livestream, "I’m going to be able to pay for a boat for you. We’re going to get you a nice boat in the range of $50,000 to $100,000."

The streamer added, "And we’re going to get you a full-time Kick deal, which is a livestream deal where you can stream your entire voyages and all your adventures and you can have a passive income come in… You can livestream and connect with fans all over the world, and they can really see your adventure, man."

Dan thanked Ross and replied, "You’re giving me my life back. I’m 54 years old, and I’ve never gotten to live yet. I was satisfied with my social security disability check every month. That kept me [able to get] food and other things I might have needed. I was content with that, but I was never happy with it. I was content to be able to survive like that, but you’re giving me the opportunity to live."
