Lil Wayne announces engagement to Madi Cannon months after split: ‘This is my fiancee’
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Lil Wayne has seemingly announced his engagement to Madi Cannon, just months after the two reportedly called it quits.
The five-time Grammy winner introduced Cannon as his “fiancee” in a video message posted to BG’s Instagram account on Monday, September 28.

Wayne was congratulating fellow Hot Boy member BG on his engagement to Brooke Jones when he said, “Congratulations. And I'm marryin' this one. This is Madison. This is my fiancee,” as the 23-year-old stood behind his shoulder.
Cannon also said “congratulations” in the video before the 44-year-old rapper added, “Let us know what color we’re wearing. I’m the best man you hear me? Love you.”

This comes after Wayne claimed in July that he was neither engaged nor in a relationship.
During a livestream, the record executive declared, “I would like to clear something up: No, I’m not engaged. I had a beautiful thing going on with an amazing person… I considered I don’t want to be such a burden on such an amazing person. So, we decided to part.”
Lil Wayne opens up about epilepsy and seizures
At the time, he also opened up about his health issues and explained why he missed a tour stop in Bangor, Maine.
“I have epilepsy, I have seizures, right? Thank God I haven’t had a seizure in years, but seizures have triggers. A trigger to my seizures is bad migraines. I had a migraine that night… it was recommended I don’t get in the air,” he had asserted.

Meanwhile, the ‘How To Love’ hitmaker had been in relationships earlier and is also a father of four children.
He shares his daughter, Reginae Carter, 27, with his ex-wife, Antonia “Toya” Johnson. Wayne welcomed his son, Dwayne Michael Carter III, in 2008 with radio host Sarah Vivan.
A year later, he welcomed his son, Kameron Carter, with actress Lauren London. Wayne’s youngest child is Neal Carter, whom he shares with R&B singer Nivea.
Nivea reportedly said in 2019, “I found out the day I was confirmed pregnant with our son that he had another one that should be expected three months ahead of ours. It’s still a testament to the type of man [Lil Wayne] is because all of his baby mothers, we’re all cool with each other.”
Wayne has also expressed his immense love for his children.
He once said, “Important ain’t even the word. That’s life. Like you need food to live, that’s just how it goes. I didn’t have a father and it’s not easy to do something that wasn’t done for you but I figured it out. I’m at the age now where it isn’t a challenge no more. Their love cancels all the challenges out.”
