New details have since emerged, with reports claiming that before her hospitalization and death, Chase had been living in an RV. Before these revelations, social media had been flooded with news of her death, which was reportedly linked to meningitis and a blood infection.
According to her manager, John Ryan, Chase's family spent years trying to find her and eventually hired a private investigator to track her down.

As more details emerge following Chase's death, reports are shedding light on the actress's final months. According to TMZ, sources close to Chase said she was living in an RV with her boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, in Boyle Heights, a neighborhood in downtown LA.
The area was reportedly just a short distance from Skid Row. She is said to have remained there until June 3, when she was taken to a local hospital. Friends of the actress had reportedly been trying to find her for years after she stepped away from public life and lost contact with many people in her circle.
Sources told the outlet that several of those close to Chase received tips months before her death that she may have been living near the Skid Row area. TMZ further reported that some friends had become increasingly worried about her condition and believed her weight had fallen to as little as 75 pounds.
Determined to reconnect with her, friends reportedly searched Skid Row and other parts of downtown LA. However, they were unable to find Chase before she was hospitalized.

According to her manager, the former child star had 'millions of dollars' to be collected from royalties and endorsement earnings. Because of that, he questioned the need for a GoFundMe campaign that was reportedly launched by her alleged boyfriend, Hernandez.
Another report from TMZ, a now-deleted video, suggested her manager and family discovered she was living on the streets.

However, when they attempted to reconnect with her and bring her back into contact with loved ones, she allegedly disappeared again. The actress's life reportedly became more difficult after she stepped away from the spotlight around 2016. In the years that followed, she faced several personal challenges.
Among them was a 2017 arrest tied to allegations that she left the scene after a critically injured man was dropped off outside a hospital.
