NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Donald Trump’s mysterious ‘traffic’ signs were spotted around the streets of New York City.

The former president’s silhouetted profile popped out mostly near Staten Island, Bay Ridge, and other areas of the city, leaving many locals confused over its intention and significance.

Artist-activist Scott LoBaido shared dozens of Donald Trump 'traffic' signs over social media

“I don’t know who’s doing this but this is f–king genius,” Staten Island artist and activist Scott LoBaido said in a video posted on social media. The video featured about a dozen of the signs which were found to be zip-tied to street poles and posts.

“They’re all over the city. Now that is clever,” he added.

A few of these signs appeared this week in Park Slope, close to the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway ramp near 92nd Street in Bay Ridge. They were also spotted at the entrance for the Verrazzano Bridge headed west into Staten Island and in Park Slope, according to New York Post.

Trump is set to speak at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, October 5.

The campaign chose the same location, which was the site of his assassination attempt three months ago where a bullet fired by Thomas Matthew Crooks grazed Trump's ear on July 13.
