NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Ariana Grande's longtime impersonator, Paige Niemann, is pulling back the curtain on her years-long connection with the pop star in her new documentary.
The 22-year-old content creator, known for her striking resemblance to Grande, revealed a heartfelt direct message she received from the 'The Boy Is Mine' singer. In it, Grande said she was "flattered" by Niemann's content but encouraged her to embrace her own identity, writing, "You're beautiful as you are."
The exchange wasn't their first interaction. Back in 2019, Niemann revealed that she was stunned when Grande personally reached out to her. During an interview, the then-19-year-old recalled that the singer called her beautiful and even told her she hoped they could meet during the 'Sweetener Tour'.

In her new documentary, the longtime Grande impersonator revealed a direct message she received from the singer, who praised her while encouraging her to embrace her own identity rather than imitate someone else's appearance.
“I am flattered, and I am sure you're very sweet. But I just wanted you to know, I looked back a little ways on your page, and I think someone should tell you if they haven't today that you're very beautiful as Yourself."

"Without all the make-up and trying to make your face look more similar to someone else's and whatnot. i had to say it because it is the truth. always do what makes you happy, of course, but if i didn't say that to you, i'd regret it. you're beautiful as you are. take care,' she concluded.
Ariana Grande's message echoed her long-standing support for self-confidence
This wasn't the first time Grande had encouraged Niemann to embrace her own identity, as per Teen Vogue. Years earlier, when Niemann was still a teenager and had gone viral for her striking resemblance to the singer, Grande privately reached out to say she was flattered by the impersonations while reminding her that she was beautiful as herself.
The message also reflected Grande's long-standing belief in self-confidence and authenticity. Over the years, the 'Dangerous Woman' singer has repeatedly urged both Paige and her own fans to embrace their natural selves.
In one heartfelt message to fans, Grande wrote, "I love meeting y'all out and about, it makes me so happy! But it makes me so sad when y'all don't put your faces in the photos or put emojis over your faces or ask to not be in them! You show me so much unconditional love all the time... you deserve to show yourselves that same kindness."
As per BBC, she added, "Please learn to give that to yourselves! You will get there, and you deserve it, and I love you the very same way! Sweet dreams." After fans shared unfiltered photos in response, Grande thanked them, saying they were "a light in my life" and adding, "I love you so much."
