Lori Loughlin files for divorce from Mossimo Giannulli after nearly 30 years of marriage

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Another Hollywood couple has officially gone their separate ways. Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli are officially separated. The 'Full House' actress has filed for divorce from her husband of nearly 30 years.

According to reports, Loughlin has a prenuptial agreement with Giannulli covering separate and community property.

For those unaware, the former couple have been married since November 1997 and share two daughters, Olivia Jade Giannulli, 26, and Isabella Rose Giannulli, 27.

In October 2025, the actress confirmed to USA Today that she and her husband had been living separate lives.

Lori Loughlin files divorce from Mossimo Giannulli

The 62-year-old actress filed for divorce on Friday, September 4, according to TMZ. The 'Full House' alum cited 'irreconcilable differences' and listed their date of separation as August 31, 2025.

The 'When Calls the Heart' star said their finances and assets will be handled under the prenuptial agreement, which they signed in October 1997. Both Loughlin and Giannulli will pay their own legal fees.

“Respondent respectfully requests that, with respect to any issue submitted to the Court for determination, the Court include in the Statement of Decision any and all calculations upon which the determination of any issues made."

"Including but not limited to, spousal support, property characterization, credit and reimbursements, property division, tax consequences and attorneys' fees and costs,” the documents stated.

Lori Loughlin divorce follows Varsity Blues scandal

The end of Loughlin and Giannulli’s marriage comes seven years after the couple were charged in the infamous Varsity Blues college admissions scandal in 2019.

They were found guilty of fraud charges related to paying hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes to help secure their daughters’ admission to the University of Southern California.

According to Fox News, Loughlin served two months in prison in late 2020, while Giannulli served a five-month sentence in November 2020.

Shortly after news of their separation broke last year, Loughlin’s former co-star John Stamos spoke out about Giannulli during an appearance on the 'Good Guys' podcast. 

Defending Loughlin, Stamos said, “She’s not a liar. She’s a saint,” adding, “She didn’t deserve to be dragged through that. I know for a fact it was all him.”

Loughlin also faced professional fallout from the scandal, including being dropped by Hallmark. However, she later returned to her beloved role from 'When Calls the Heart' in the 2021 spinoff series 'When Hope Calls'.
