WASHINGTON, DC: Fox News host Laura Ingraham cautioned former President Donald Trump on Monday, advising him against targeting other Republicans, labeling such attacks as “a losing strategy.”

Ingraham’s comments followed Trump’s recent rally in Georgia, where his speech included criticism of Republican Governor Brian Kemp.

“It was a great crowd, everyone was really happy, and then, you know, some of it became about Brian Kemp, the Republican governor,” she observed.

Laura Ingraham and Victor Davis Hanson urge Trump to focus on future issues

Laura Ingraham reiterated her stance, saying, “I’ve said this before, and I’m gonna say it again, shooting inside the tent right now of the Republican Party, that’s a loser strategy. It’s not gonna work. They tried that in 2020 and we lost two Senate seats. Then in 2022– it doesn’t work. You gotta focus on what they are doing to destroy this country.”

Victor Davis Hanson, a senior fellow at the Hoover Institution, supported Ingraham’s view.

“Absolutely. Brian Kemp, whatever the disagreement, he’s already endorsed Trump. So it just – it doesn’t even do any good to go back and say that Joe Biden was the worst candidate in history, because he’s not running anymore.”

Hanson advised Trump to refrain from dwelling on Kemp or Kamala Harris' past.

“So don’t waste time on Brian Kemp. I wouldn’t even get into the past history or personal history of Kamala Harris,” he said.

Ingraham agreed, dismissing such criticisms as “a waste of time.”

Hanson warns of election risks if Trump focuses on personal attacks

Hanson added, “I would just say that she is flipping in a very opportunistic fashion just to get elected, and once she’s elected, it’s the Obama fourth term, and you know what that’s like. And if he sticks to that in those swing states, and JD Vance – there’s no more articulate person that can make that case – they will win. But if he gets off on these tangents, I’m worried.”

Trump has faced backlash from within the Republican Party after he targeted Kemp and his wife on social media and during his rally in Georgia.

Trump labeled Kemp as “a bad guy. He’s a disloyal guy. And he’s a very average governor,” referring to him as “Little Brian, little Brian Kemp. Bad guy.”

Kemp calls on Trump to focus on election goals

In response, Kemp urged Trump to concentrate on the election rather than engaging in “petty personal insults.”

Kemp wrote on social media, “My focus is on winning this November and saving our country from Kamala Harris and the Democrats – not engaging in petty personal insults, attacking fellow Republicans, or dwelling on the past. You should do the same, Mr. President, and leave my family out of it.”
