NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Climatedepot.com Executive Director Marc Morano joined co-host Pete Hegseth on the January 27 episode of 'Fox & Friends' to talk about the Biden administration's decision to stop natural gas projects.

Hegseth introduced the subject by saying that the move aimed to address climate change, as activists have taken aim at liquified natural gas export projects in recent weeks, arguing that they will lead to a large uptick in emissions and worsen global warming.

Joe Biden 'caving' environmental activists

"This is Joe Biden caving to environmental activists in his base, heading into an election year," began Morano on the subject.

"What (the administration) is doing is they're claiming that this is because of too much emissions. All they are going to do is outsource these emissions to other countries, particularly the Middle East," Morano claimed.

"The United States is one of the top three exporters of natural gas, and all they are doing now is putting it to the countries with lower environmental standards," said Morano.

Joe Biden's decision to stop natural gas projects 'hurting our allies'

Morano reminded Hegseth about the incumbent president's commitment to providing energy to ally European nations after Russia imposed sanctions amidst its conflict with Ukraine.

"Now we're just hurting our allies by taking away that energy. But this is just bonkers to do this. More restriction on our energy, our exports, and on natural and domestic products - it makes no sense," Morano said.

Recalling a 2013 tweet of former President Donald Trump, Morano said that the entire move was planned to "enable China to become the global dominant."

"All we're doing is shutting down the highest environmental standards, the highest human rights standards here in the United States, and we are saying we can't do it because we have this carbon accounting budget. We have to meet our net zero goals. So we will just let the developing world and other countries do it, who don't really care about the same climate test goals," Morano added.

"(The move) is affecting other domestic productions as well. You have these bureaucratic bean counters in the Biden administration now giving a climate test of every aspect of our country and our economy," he later added.
