LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle and Prince Harry completed eight years together on May 19. The pair got married in 2018 at St George's Chapel inside Windsor Castle in Windsor, England.
To mark the special occasion, the Duchess of Sussex posted unseen photos from her wedding on Instagram, showing her in her minimalist Givenchy wedding gown while the Duke of Sussex wore his formal military uniform. The pictures were taken inside St George’s Chapel by photographer Chris Allerton.
Elton John’s performance resurfaces in Meghan-Harry wedding throwback
One of the slides in the social media post showed Elton John performing at the royal wedding, and the next slide gave a glimpse of the crowded hall where he sang.
Meghan, who now shares two children with Harry, captioned the pictures, “Eight years ago today.”
The former actress shared one more post that gave a sneak peek into the 2018 post-ceremony reception. The slides were filled with photos showing Meghan and Harry enjoying themselves and dancing their hearts out after saying “I do” to each other.
While the entrepreneur, 44, stunned in a backless Stella McCartney gown, her 41-year-old husband wore a sleek black tuxedo. “Eight years ago today…🌙” Meghan simply captioned the images.
Meghan Markle shares family anniversary celebration with Prince Harry
In addition to the throwback photos, Meghan also revealed to her fans and followers how she and Harry celebrated their bronze anniversary.
Taking to Instagram Stories, she posted multiple photos and videos. One clip showed Harry singing “Happy anniversary” along with their children, Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 4, as he brought out a cake for the celebration.
Another clip featured one of the children saying, “Blow them, blow them,” while the other yelled, “Yay.”

The Stories even showed what Harry gifted his wife, a bronze statue of a cuddling penguin couple. In another Story, Meghan could be heard telling her children the story behind the penguin couple.
“When mama and papa, when we got engaged, we had a party with all of our friends and we said, ‘Everyone wear an animal onesie,’ and we were penguins,” she explained, before adding, “We were penguins because they’re together for life.”
Meghan Markle, Prince Harry divorce rumors resurface over money concerns
The eight-year celebration came as Meghan and Harry’s relationship has often been publicly scrutinized, especially after they left the UK.
Last month, a report by RadarOnline claimed that the pair were facing issues in their marriage and also hinted at a possible divorce. But a source reportedly claimed that they would not split because “money is a huge issue for them right now.”
“They are very leveraged, trying to dismantle all of that. Plus, paying out all the legal fees for a divorce would likely bankrupt them,” the source added.
