Meghan Markle shares rare video of 5-year-old daughter Princess Lilibet speaking to her at home
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Meghan Markle shared a rare home video featuring her daughter Princess Lilibet, offering fans a glimpse of her sweet voice.
The former actress posted the video on her Instagram page on Tuesday, October 6, as she celebrated her “entrepreneurial spirit” while also introducing a “holiday collection” from her lifestyle brand, As Ever.
Princess Lilibet calls mom Meghan Markle’s fruit spread ‘beautiful’
The social media footage was a reel, featuring multiple photos of Meghan’s childhood, snaps tied to her brand, and clips of her work. One small moment from the reel showed her five-year-old daughter helping her make fruit spreads.
The 45-year-old mother-of-two can be seen stirring a pot on the stove while her baby girl plays with her own bowl.
Meghan then asks her, “What do you think, Lili?” To which, she replies, “I think it’s beautiful, mom.”
Meghan Markle reflects on her entrepreneurial skills
In the lengthy caption, the Duchess of Sussex wrote, “When I was about eight years old I started my own business making handmade scrunchies I sewed on my grandmother’s Singer sewing machine and sold for $1 a piece.”
The ‘Suits’ alum further mentioned that she even sold “Girl Scout cookies, had lemonade stands, worked in a frozen yogurt shop and had countless other jobs. My entrepreneurial spirit was always there.”
Meghan then went on to refer her now-defunct blog, The Tig, as she noted, “As I shared years ago on The Tig (PS, love you ladies @thetiglets): ‘Behind every successful woman is herself’ — and that’s true… but there’s more: a community of love, a squad of support, an amazing team.”
“As I pinch myself looking at how this brand has grown, and as we introduce our holiday collection, I feel very proud, and grateful,” she added, before concluding, “A huge thanks to my team at @aseverofficial. So proud of what we are creating together. Thanks for helping bring this vision to life ❤️.”
Meghan Markle expressed her love for holiday season
During a 2024 interview with Marie Claire, Meghan had reportedly declared that she “loves[s] the holidays” noting that Lilibet and Archie were “three and five, so every year it gets better.”
“At first, I think as a mom with children you’re just enjoying having them there, but they’re not understanding everything that’s happening yet. But now we’re at the age where I just can’t wait to see it through their lens every year,” she added at the time.
